| Deleted User | Have you downloaded and installed the newest patches for the game? Do you have the newest driver for your video card installed and also the newest Direct X drivers?

Ooh, BTW, just in case no one got the abbreviation, the game in question is Pirates of the Caribbean by Bethesda Softworks.

| Deleted User | Do you have any software installed like virus scanners that run in the background? Maybe try and press strg/alt/del and close all unnecessary tasks and programms before starting the game. Do you have a virtual CD-ROM drive on your hdd? In that case many games won't run because of their copyprotection.

With regards to closing things using ctrl/alt/del, I really don't recommend that, especially anti-virus software. Try closing/de-activating the normal way instead. Only use ctrl/alt/del as a last resort.
