Status : Offline | afaik you'll need a 2nd bootable hd to do that (and you'll switch boot device from bios)... if you only got one hd but with 2 or more partitions then you can install w98 on the boot partition (erasing winxp) and then winxp on another partition... winxp will then create a boot menu from which you'll be able to select which os to load each time you (re)boot
You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

I bet utilities like System Commander handle multi-OS booting like this no problem. It can be done with NT and W2K, I don't see why it shouldn't work with XP.
But it's true that installing Win98 after XP might be a bit of a problem. Other way round should be much easier.
I forgot my sig.

Status : Online | I bought a program called Partition Magic and divided my hard drive into 2 partitions. Plan on running into problems with your newer components (my mouse, speakers, and monitor are "too new" to run on Win 9. You might want to download some Win98 compatible drivers before you partition and install your new OS. Good luck!!
