I have an idea for the dev team: Why don't you finish the game on your own? Work out the legal issues and start your own company, work for free until the development phase is over, get in touch with game producers like EA or something to help you promoting and releasing the game. If you believe in the game yourselves that is.

| Deleted User | Friday, don't you think LucasArts will be extremely reluctant to hand over the copyright, just like that? I bet the asking price would be staggering. If they would be willing to sell in the first place.

Those <insert insult here> don't have the guts to [s]finish[/s] release Sam and Max 2, but nobody else can do because they have the rights and I bet they are afraid that somebody could make the profit they missed out on. It sucks.

Standard PR bullshit.
Again with the blaming the market. A market that seems OK for to release CSI games or Syberia 2 or BS3 etc etc.

That's probably a far better indication of how receptive the market will be than whatever lame-ass excuse the LEC SD people put together, but it's still not accurate. Those signatures are only those of the rabid fans who bother to get on the 'net and mingle with other rabid fans. Even further than that, those signatures are only the percentage of said rabid fans who actually bothered to sign the petition. I guarentee there are lots of people who figured "Why bother?". $929700.00. Almost a million, and that's just off of those of us who bothered to sign. What about all the people who didn't bother to sign? Or the adventure fans who aren't part of the active fanbase? Or the counltess non-adventure fans who would pick up this game anyway. Don't give me that "not profitable enough" BS.

I think 99 out of 100 persons are well aware that Lucas Arts won't release Sam and Max 2 no matter what. But I think we owe it to the team working on the game to show that we care. It's minimal effort, even the lazy people can do.
