Hello, I have a Vaio all-in-one notebook computer.  It has only 8 mb of video card memory.  This means most of the games coming out are unplayable on this p.c..  I can't install anymore vidoecard memory but may be able to install an external videocard.
oes anyone have any idea on what to buy?  I am having lots of trouble trying find info on an external video card with between 64-128 mbs of memory.  I don't even know if it is possible.  By the way, I have an amd athlon 4 processor, 1000mhz, 256 mbs of ram (I can install another 256 mbs).  Thank you for any help you can give me.

Deleted UserI'm really sorry, most notebooks including your Sony Vaio offer no option to change graphics cards. There are a few new notebooks where you can exchange the video card but they are rare and of course more expensive.
And btw there is no such a thing like an external video card.
And you do have an Athlon Thunderbird which is a desktop and no notebook cpu anyway, there is no Athlon 4 thats the Intel one.

I'm really sorry... notebooks were not made for playing games... you would need a whole new one and the fastest video card in notebooks now is the Radeon 9700 but also very rare to get.
If you want a gamer notebook (notebooks are always a generation behind desktop computers when it comes to speed) check out Alienware notebooks at: http://www.alienware.com/mobile_main.aspx they are supposed to be the fastest and are quite expensive, though...
