The first adventure game I ever played by myself was "The Secret of Monkey Island". It was this particular title that made me love adventure gaming. In my opinion, the Monkey Island series is one of the best game series ever!

That is why I wish to ask everyone on Just Adventure:
1- What is your favorite MI puzzle?
2- What is your favorite MI game and why?
3- What is the thing you like (or hate) the most in a MI game?
4- What would you like to see in MI5?

1. Faking your death to get into the Goodsoup tomb in Monkey III

2. Partly 2 because of the whole Guybrush Le Chuck show down/Star Wars parody. But mostly the third game,  Curse of Monkey Island. To me it had some of the funniest most laugh out loud moments in any of the games. And Murray, the talking skull.

3. I like the humour, and the insult sword fighting. Didn't much like Monkey Kombat in MI4.

4. Murray.

Some people are like a slinky. They might not be good for anything, but its fun to watch them tumble down stairs. &&

1- getting the map in MI3

2-MI3. It was the first MI game I played and I loved the graphics and sound - but mostly I loved Murray!

3-I like the humour, the music, the characters...

4-I agree - the return of Murray!MWAHAHAHAA!!!

1-Getting the gold tooth on Mega Monkey setting in COMI

2-dead tie between SOMI and COMI. 2 had weaker puzzles and 4 wasn't nearly as funny and had waker puzzles as well

3-I hate Murray... no really, I do. Seems really cheesy, less intelligent humor than the other MI humor.

4-Back to old-fashioned SOMI sword fighting

1. The whole (first) 'collect and assemble' voodoo doll puzzle sequence in MI2, for combining fun, logic, and imagination.  Either that, or nailing Stan into the coffin, because it was hilarious.

2. MI2, because (for me) it's the funniest, has the most fun and imaginative puzzles (though not the most logical), the best 'look', the best music, and because I love the way things changed since the first game (Guybrush's look, his relationship with Elaine, his slightly meaner streak, the new LeChuck, etc).

3. I thought the story of EMI was ludicrous.  >

4. I'd rather see the MI3 that Ron Gilbert planned to make.
