4. Booty Island. I wasn't sure, but tried to derive it from my memory. On Booty Island you can participate in a treasure dive and there's this shop which sells very special souvenirs. You can make booty. Maybe that's why it's called Booty Island. Wild argumentation on my side.
7. Chinatown? Sorry for spoilers.

Which one (and what)? :-/Well, I once tried to see if there were a dead end on the Monkey Island games, but never really found it. I had two guesses on what actions would cause a dead end. :-/ First, (and someone already posted this), on Monkey 1 if you use all your money in the grog vending machine at Stans. Second, on Monkey 2, loosing all your money betting at the spinning wheel. I wonder if any of these works... ???

2*. There are actually 2 endings in MI1. There is not a significant difference, but there is a slight change.
When you are using the catapult on Monkey Island to shoot the banana tree, you can also hit your ship and sink it! If you do that you obviously can't get back to Melee Island using that. Instead Herman will help you by giving you a lifeboat he has been having all those years..........and after the credits you'll see Meethook, Carla, and Otis locked up in the cannibal hut. If you don't sink your ship, you will sail back with Carla, Meathook, and Otis.
3*. When Fester Shinetop throws you in the water, just stay there for 10 minutes. Remember Guybrush can "only" hold his breath for 10 minutes! He will then become very blue and eventually green. You have to restart or load a savegame after this.
4*. In the antique shop on Booty Island you can buy a collectors plate with Elvis Presley's picture on it
5*. Put all your money in the grog machine
6*. In the antique store on Booty Island is a poster with the "Great White Whale", who's never been caught. The Shop keeper doesn't know its name but it could very well be Moby Dick.
7*. This is from the movie "Chinatown" with Jack Nicholson, where he is a detective protecting a mother and daughter from her grandfather, only to uncover a terrible incestuous affair where the grandfather is actually the daughter's father, therefore making the mother her daughter's sister as well.
8*. Myst
9*. Dig

11. Why is Guybrush called Guybrush? There is a story behind the name. Quite funny.

And why Threepwood? I forgot it if there ever was a special reason. Maybe you know...
