Status : Online | I've never quite been able to figure out the logic behind this puzzle in Discworld 1:
Puzzle SPOILER * * You need to net a butterfly, which is flapping about above a sleeping Rincewind. It's flying too high for you to reach. So you (wait for it) put a frog in Rincewind's mouth which makes the butterfly fly lower so you can catch it. * * END

Rincewind is snoring, which is blowing the butterfly out of your reach. The frog blocks the air flow... Plus it ties everything up nicely, since you (also Rincewind) cough the frog up the next morning, earlier in the game.

*smacks forehead*
I thought the snoring might be preventing it from flying low, but I couldn't for the life of me work out why I had to use a frog. It seemed completely ludicrous and random until you reminded me of the opening scene.
/me makes his peace with Discworld 1.

Oh yeah,THAT one. I solved that one just by trying things at random, and when I hit upon the right solution, never expecting it work, I found myself saying, "Come on, you've got to be kidding!"

The awful cat-and-bouncing-fish thing in Broken Sword 2.
Okay, that's more than one word. But seriously! I was getting so irritated, I wanted to hit the cat with the bloody fish and sort the whole thing out once and for all.
