How many games do you have actively in progress?  Not games you've abandoned, but ones you've played in the past month?

Here's my list of  10 (eek, so many, maybe I have ADD...)

Nightlong
Baldur's Gate
Lochness
Might and Magic VII
Nancy Drew Stay Tuned for Danger
The 7th Guest
Shivers
Arcanum
Jazz and Faust
The Watchmaker

I do plan to finish all of them...eventually.  Problem is I have so many new ones I'm anxious to start, and they tempt....oh how they tempt...

Do you mean loaded and playing now, today?

Morrowind/Tribunal
NOLF 2
Post Mortem
Archangel

Hope you like M&M, am a big fan, have played 6,7,8,9.  Nine was a bit of a disappointment.

Just finished Tony Tough and Cameron Files II.

Nancy Drew's new one and Arx Fatalis will probably be loaded this week if they get here.

Just one.  I never play more than one game at a time.  Currently, it's Runaway: A Road Adventure.

I'm also playing Runaway at the moment and The Lurking Horror.
I still have to resume Amber which I bought some weeks ago and played half of it.

Neverwinter Nights

secondary games (that may become primary when the above are finished):

Nocturne (most probable future primary)
Amber
I Have No Mouth...
Shadow of the Comet

third place:

Several games lying on my hd abandonded or not started yet... most of them might never load again!

Gamaholic,

Yes, they are very addictive and I play them over and over again every once in a while.  Cripes, they are the ones that got me to stay up til 3 in the morning, just trying to figure something out to move a little further in the game.  That is perhaps why I like Morrowind so much.

They used a new engine and the graphics are not as good.  Thought the quests are okay, it seems it was sharper in the others, but it is still a good game and you can buy them all in a collectors set now but mine are all together in a special spot by computer just in case the urge strikes me.

Oh, they also changed the music. I think for someone who has played a lot of the others, the changes threw them off including myself.  You get to feel like you are with old friends on an adventure and the changes just put me off balance a bit.  VI and VII are my favorites.

Deleted UserI play one adventure game at a time.  I like to concentrate on the story and it gets too confusing for me to follow several plots.   However, I usually have something like SimCity or Civilization on my desktop for when I want a break.

Just two: Beyond Atlantis II and......The Mystery of The Nautilus (says with finger in throat...). Actually it's not that bad....just a little boring, but I'm gonna finish it rather than abandon it. BA 2 is pretty good so far. Nice graphics.

Last night I finished "Archie Barrel - Case: Hotel Imperial". That's a Russian game - anyone else played it?

Before that I played Post Mortem, Tony Tough, Missing on Lost Island and Largo Winch.
I forgot my sig.

Red, I totally relate...I pulled some all-niters on M&M6 and M&M7 is just as bad (i just love the games in a game, such as Arcomage and finding ore to make goodies out of)

I have Morrowind and Tribunal loaded, waiting for me....very hard to resist, but i'm trying to have willpower...

and Syberia beckons...and Dark Fall just arrived....oh my!

Absolutely.  It's more about being anal than focused.  I'm like that with every form of entertainment.  I start a book and can't put it down 'til it's finished, I can watch a trilogy of movies one after the other without a problem, etc.  When I play a game, I get completely engrossed in that world, and I don't want to dilute the experience by injecting another equally brilliant one into it.  I prefer to savour them, one at a time, like a lovely bit of chocolate on the tip of my tongue.

Same here JustG... the only case I don't finish a game is when I can't due to technical problems, which happens very rarely. Otherwise I never give up

I forgot my sig.

Only one adventure at a time for me. I like to be totally focused and immersed. But if I get really stuck or bored I open a  Puzz 3d or Sims game.

Urk...  too many.

Prominent:

The Last Express
The Feeble Files
Starship Titanic
Kingdom O' Magic
Broken Sword (2nd time)

Back Burner:

Discworld 1
Beneath a Steel Sky
Lure of the Temptress
The Dig (2nd time)
GK2 (bad CD problem, that I hope to resolve soon)

This is a very bad habit to get into.  I don't advise it.  On the other hand, I've got Gabriel Knight 3 waiting to be played and I'm not going to start it until I've cleared the backlog.  I just hope I manage to whittle the list down before Christmas.
