Status : Online | Thanks guys. I want to add a gossip that we learned quite late about, and there was no space in the mag to add. It is probably not going to be available after xmas so I'd better say it now. The Indiana Jones FOY team have added an intro video to their site. Go and watch it and see why it probably won't be available after xmas.

P.S. I apologise for a couple of spelling mistakes in the issue, everything was ready only a little time before deadline.

edit: Even though I thought you were too tough on the voice acting in Black Mirror. The sound effects were quite fine. I thought the voice acting was one of the best I've encountered - especially for a localization!

You misunderstood me. I wasn't talking about the game...when I said 'why it probably won't be available after xmas' I meant the intro video. I would never complain or be sarcastic about a fan project which is going to be distributed free for being late.
Adventuredog, liking a voice could be like liking pasta. Some people like it some people don't. Anyway, to me it felt really bad and amateurish, especially the main character. I think the main problem was that they tried to immitate a Brittish accent when they were not Brittish themselves. I've lived for a couple of years in Wales and I've travelled through Brittain and I don't recall anyone speaking like that.
Elke I think nothing will measure up to the Jane Jensen interview. That's why it was in our 1-year-anniversary issue . In Memoriam is still on my shelf, unplayed. Maybe I'll try to download a patch, if they have added one to see if it does any good. Grim Fandango is coming in one of the next two issues. Most probably the next, unless we get an interview we are plannign with a developer... in that case we'll have to make another tribute. And it's not Sierra/Lucasarts related.
Thanx Vorpax.

You really improved this magazine since the earlier editions. I like the more 'formal' style, without the colored backgrounds etc. 'The Inventory' looks like a magazine with its own character now.
I'd even prefer even less color, less (or at least smaller) pictures then you use now. I always like to see one style of formatting throughout a magazine... Well, enough criticism, but maybe it's usefull...
Keep up the good work!

The interview with Al Lowe is the highlight I think.
I'm looking forward to Shadowplay. This game could be a big hit in 2004. The plot sounds like it's among the most interesting ever made into a game. Investigation and character interaction to keep the story going. Analysing films and searching through newspaper archives...wow! The game of my dreams! I love investigative gameplay and it seems like it's combined with an exciting storyline just like Tex Murphy and GK games. Very cool.
I might check out Black Mirror. Seems like you get a lot of stuff for your money despite the bad endings. Those are usually not as satisfying as the running game, anyway.
And I think the ratings are much better now. In the first Inventory editions they were not in proportion to the ratings you gave in the last few zines, as you confirm in a respond to one of the letters.
