I think it was you mentioned it a couple of months ago actually when the board started up again. It sounded intriguing and vaguely familiar. I looked it up and asked around. Consensus is it's a very good game that is VERY hard to get. No, I haven't played it. But someday, someday...

Status : Offline | Scout, yes, it was me who mentioned Maupiti Island. I'm happy it caught someone's attention Yes, it's hard to get. I think there are some copies at UGTZ. Also, it's a very, very hard game and there aren't many walkthroughs available in the net. Stay tuned in JA main page for a full-blown article that has some further info about this game.
