I just started it. Looks good so far! I think I'm going to bite the bullet any buy myself a gamepad. After BS3 and now this... I'm beginning to think it may be a wise investment.

I think you are right, szcax

I have two going right now that probably could use a better way of doing the fight scenes.

Actually I couldn't find any "in-game" support for gamepads mentioned anywhere in the PC version which is rather odd, otherwise I'd have used my own gamepad rather than mouse/keyboard (which actually works pretty well considering how these sort of games normally turn out on the PC).

I suppose you could map different keys to a gamepad controls outside of the game but I can never be bothered to sort all that out and I don't like running extra software in the background if it can be avoided.

That's crazy! The game was built with a gamepad in mind, but you can't use one on the PC version?? That's crazy! Crazy, crazy, crazy!

Whew... played for a solid day and I just got stuck at a place where I can't go on because there's an unpatched bug in the game. I won't spoil anything, but just so you guys know... if you ever need a second triangle key and it doesn't fall from the ceiling, that's a bug and don't bother trying all sorts of crazy stuff to get it, becuse it's not going to work
This only happens on ceratin systems though, and only if you have version 1.01 and not 1.00

Sorta makes me mad... I payed for this game, I shouldn't have to stop and wait for Ubisoft to get their act together. The ubi forums are going crazy over this, by the way, so it should be fixed soon.

It is a good game.  Am not good at the arcade fighting but managed two battles so far, this third one is becoming my downfall.  I think you will like the characters, great imagination put into the game

Be warned though, that the story isn't anything you haven't seen before. And I'll be... there's another one of those rotate-the-mirrors-to-shine-a-light-beam-on-a-point puzzles. These are minor qualms though. It's great for the 15 hours that it lasts, tons of atmosphere, some of the first stealth I've actually enjoyed. I don't regret buying it.

:'( A lot of sites have already had to reduce the price on this great game (I'm halfway through the ps2 version and I love it). There's no reason given, but probably low sales. It's horrible because every review i've read has been great. I'm worried know that we won't see a sequel or anything like this for a while now.

Great game so far reminds me of dark chronicle in some ways.

Thanks all here, chances are I would not have bought the game had I not read the comments on it here

It's sad when a great game like BG&E gets overlooked by consumers.  The same thing happened to the NOLF series, great games that just didn't sell very well.

Yep, I ended up buying this game and I absolutely LOVED it. I finished off the final BOSS too.. Can't say enough good things about this title, it was a VERY pleasant surprise.

I know what you mean about NOLF. That was a brilliant game, then they destroyed the thing with NOLF 2 (Which was merely OK).

There's a lot of great games that just don't sell. I really enjoyed GIANTS by planet Moon. Extremely funny (although maybe one or 2 too many base building missions
) and didn't sell well enough to merit a sequel

I loved Giants as well Bazza - really funny, and very challenging. Playing Sacrifice now and finding a similar experience, but really missing the slapstick humour.

As for BG&E - this one slipped completely under my radar. Only noticed it was in the Underdogs belated hall of fame this week. I feel an ebay coming on...

Actually I thought the 2nd was every bit as good as the 1st, but neither of them sold very well.  I wonder if this has anything to do with a female action hero not appealing to the general gaming public.

Sacrifice is really great. A revolutionary, gorgeous game. It has a pretty steep learning curve, maybe that's why people didn't "get it"  ???

I don't understand the case of Giant though; the game has it all !

The thing really slowing me down and causing me dilemmas are the five choices of every level - I like to play games as near to total completion as I can, and I really don't want to play this game through from the start five times!

What was your method of play Randdom?

Deleted UserMy method?: Going to an internet site listing all the units and missions, then choose
. There is a couple of those sites.
But it didn't resolve all the dillemas: I had to play the game 2 times
.
