Well, I really liked the graphics of the Watchmaker (i prefer them to BS III, for instance)  and can't recall many timed puzzles -but, yes, the great thing about it was the plot...

As far as voice acting, if I can put up with Ark of Time, that means I don't care too much about it...

I just noticed there are a lot of games here  that I really liked.

                  Torin's Passage

                  Mystery of the Druids

                  Watchmaker

                   Realms of the Haunting

Many of the others I have not run across yet.

Shivers and Realms of the Haunting I absolutely loved both of those games.

Deleted UserLoom underrated?  I don't THINK so.  It's only one of the rarest and most sought-after adventure games around.  Frankly, I think LucasArts is missing a bet by not re-re-releasing it again sometime in the near future.

I think they are as well - all is not lost however, the game can be freely downloaded from the Underdogs -

The Underdogs is not a warez site - Unfortunately I was incorrect however, there is only a free CD upgrade patch.  :-/

Deleted Userhehehehe... I was kidding about the warez thing, InlandAZ.  But only partially.  While HotU is not a warez site per se, many of the games they have available are NOT merely "abandonware" that the publishers have turned loose upon the world, but are, in fact, illegal warez programs and rips.  One should be careful when visiting HotU as to what games one chooses to download if they want to avoid ripping off some publisher.

That is right! Only the publishers are allowed to rip off their customers by releasing unfinished and untested games that will need to be constantly patched and re-patched.

Old games should be forgotten because they do not sell anymore, so just let the game die in oblivion.

If you want an old adventure, just do like everybody else and go buy a copy on Ebay for the reasonable price of 100 dollars (shipping not included).

By the way, I am not accusing BJ of anything, I am just mad at the publishers for not supporting old games.

This looks like it could be an indictment of TAC and their new games.

Didn't consult me about it.

Deleted User"Lost in Time" Coktel Vision.

Also there's another one I NEVER see mentioned anywhere. Now I'll admit, I only remember a few things about it, but one is the fact that I really enjoyed it. Another is when a guy who was threatening to throw me out of a plane at 10,000 feet laughed as he joked "Your gunna fly like a condor to a corpse". It was called "Amazon".

Dreamweb IS quite an underdog. The top-view method created a distant feeling with the main character; this is rarely effective in adventures.

I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream

I love this game. This game defines 'broad perspective.' The role of AM and the five humans are very interlinked but players rarely realize this. If you ask yourself, 'How did I get this answer?' while playing this game, you would get different answers. Explaining further would be a spoiler.

I also rise hand for Feeble Files and Dreamweb. Also games by Coktel Vision, like Goblins series (or they aren't consider "underrated"  ??? ), Woodruff, Prophecy, Lost in Time (glad to hear that there'll be a review of LiT soon, Jim), Inca.  And, for sure, Simon the Sorcere 3D - it got so many bad reviews, while been a very good game, that came out in the past several years, IMO (don't blame adventures for their graphics
).
Well, actually, there is quite a number of underrated adventures, it'll just take a lot of time to remember them.
Oh, wait, I guess you can call games by Legend Entertainment "underrated", as they never got very popular, while, in my opinion, been one of the best adventures ever and should be in line with the ones by Lucas Arts and Sierra. I think there isn't even a single review in the Net of the TimeQuest, one of the best games by Legend  :'(

Deleted UserI don't know if either Feeble Files or IHNMAIMS can be called "underrated."  Both are well-known within the adventure gaming community and generally praised by critics and gamers alike.
And deservedly so.)
