You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Status : Offline | I've finished everything in my earlier post (on the first page) with the exception of all those Sims expansion packs (and since that time I've acquired Unleashed, Making Magic, and a Laura Bow skin). Just bought Nancy Drew: Danger on Deception Island today and started that. Placed a bid on eBay for Broken Sword 2, so hopefully I'll win that auction (but I don't yet have BS1!). That's it for now.
I miss my Bubba: 1986 - 2006.

| Deleted User | I just completed Prince of Persia (and loved every minute of it...) and I've got the following games in various stages of completion..
URU Gothic II Beyond Good and Evil X2 - The Threat (although I have finished the story on this and await yet another patch to fix up my joystick. I like this game, but it sure lacks polish) Vietcong (haven't touched this for a while though... as great as it is) POTC (heavily modifed to be more like SeaDogs II... The ocean wave graphics in this game are nothing short of superb.. especially the storms.. )
I tend to read 3 or 4 books at a time too ... Attention deficiency creeping into my old age me thinx!

Status : Online | Over Christmas I've been playing:
* Postal 2 - Ultra violent first person shooter. Not as bad as people say, but has little to offer apart from its shock value (I don't mind the violence, but the game totally lacks direction an purpose).
* The Simpsons Hit & Run - I love the Simpsons, and I love GTA3 and Vice City, but in my opinion this game is much too arcade-like, and the missions too repetitive. Often the time limits make little sense, and the constant collection of coins is the arcade game equivalent of slider puzzles. What I like about the GTA games is their "sandbox-like" quality, that it has so much possibility for interaction outside the actual missions, and The Simpsons is lacking in that respect.
* XIII - Standard first person shooter. Nothing new except the cel shading. It looks nice, but there's just too little innovation in the gameplay to keep my interest.
I addition, although it isn't a game, I've gone through the entire 24 chapters of Broken Saints in three nights (would have been 2, but I couldn't get the final chapter to work until I upgraded my Flash player). Impressive storytelling, but I can't help being disappointed after reading dimi's raves about it. I was a bit worried, because I thought it shared some story elements with my game-in-production, but after watching it, I don't feel threatened at all.
Not a single adventure on the list. Sad really. But after purchasing Broken Sword 3 based on all the excellent reviews, I'm very suspicious of reviewers. It seems that adventure gamers are so hugry that they'll eat anything these days. I think I'll wait for Jane Jensen's next game. Until then I can always keep myself entertained with IF and amateur graphic adventures.
