Deleted UserHey, I know it's an RPG but all of y'all who're put off by the numbers and figures would LOVE THIS GAME. No reflexes needed, point n click at the baddies, near-total mouse control, ace graphics and brilliant storyline with pretty much great Adventure trimmings! Dialogue trees! All spoken! WAHEY! Puzzles! WHOOO!!!

I recommend this for adventure peeps this Xmas with the knowledge that even I like it, and I really dislike RPG's. Boy, it's yummy! And NOT because it's Star Wars! Didn't think it'd be this good... and the adventure loving girlfriend with a fear of ANYTHING action is even playing. Although, she did jump out of her seat when she first got attacked that said...

I'll add it to my list - I do enjoy a good RPG from time to time.

What?

First, let's dephrase this for the casual gamer:
Knights of the Old Republic
Ok, that's served.

Is it really that good? I even like RPGs to say the least. Sounds like my game.

Yes, KOTOR is awesome.  I guess there are a few "action sequences" but they're really easy.

I love this game!

completed it a few days ago being a good little Jedi.
just restarted with the intent on being the most evil jedi ever

the turret mingame isn`t hard at all, and it`s the only real action sequences in the game.

it`s long if you complete the secondary missions(which is actually fun in this game). took me 36 hours the first time. about 25 if you just do the story ones.

HK-47 rocks. so funny

KOTOR is the best RPG I've played in several years. Probably going back to Xenogears. It is by far my #1 game recommendation for 2003.

Deleted UserI've been playnig it like a demon, and I've only just got to the second cantina - I've been totally distracted playing people off against eachother. This game feels like a freeform adventure - I don't have any experience in RPG's other than Morrowind, and this has a totally different, accessible feel. I'd highly recommend it to all those who have no fear of a teensy bit of "action" - if you can really call it that. The game pauses for you to select your actions when bad guys are spotted, and then you just pnc and it's all done for you!

I've heard good things about KOTOR from almost everyone who's played it. I'm not generally keen on RPGs but I might have to give this one a try. Do you know if there's a demo available for download?

Deleted UserThis might be one RPG I'll actually be willing to buy.
I'll look into it!

I haven't finished playing Knights yet.. I dread going back to it. There's a couple of rather tedious, long things Jedi Knights have to do in their careers and it's a pain. Sherlock Holmes, I'm not... :-/

You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There is a small mailbox here.

The murder case between the two guys?  Yeah, I'm at that part right now and I don't feel like doing that part over because I screwed up.  But that's because I have no patience.
