Status : Online | I finished the game whith thre different ways:1. Gus and Sofia killed by proffesor 2. Proffessor disarmed by Gus 3. Proffessor killed by Hulion (second detective) .
BUT still there is ONE question: Who is the KILLER ??
Olso during the game I understood, that the women from 506 room is not so simple as it seens xe-xe

Not sure about your second question, it was the doctor from the sanitarium, is that what you meant?
The clue about the woman in 506 was that she belonged to the Brotherhood too, came up in one of the dialogues and maybe they will continue something with her in another story though that might get boring chasing the same thing over and over again.
I hope they do another one, I enjoyed it very much except their bodies bobbing all over the place.

Right, Dr. Kaufner (or De Allepin if you believe the mystical stuff) was the murderer. In the vision cutscenes the masked murderer actually does look like Kaufner.
One interesting scene was when you gave the suspect portrait to Mallot... he runs away but not because he's seen Hellouin - rather because he's seen Kaufner.

She did? I thought she was complaining they weren't accepting women? She definitely knew a lot about the Brotherhood though.

Status : Online | Just before the final scene I went to my studio and sent a telegram to the Pinkerton agency asking for information on Fay and Jerome Johnson. Is it possible to get a reply to that telegram? Or that's a loose end?

Anyways, I haven't got timeto read all of the 8 pages but I have come through a thread where you guys have problems in going into the 507 room or the office. I didn't find any hammer but what I found was when I went upstairs(hotel) there's this room beside 507 and there's a door in side that room which it is connected to 507. I used the newspaper beneath the door and the cane to push out the key so it will fall on to the newspaper. I used the key to open the connecting room Has anybody done the same thing?

Ok I only got two endings, and I don't have time to replay the game now so I wanna know how the third ending is like:
1. Gus got shot, then scene of Bebe selling the head to the woman (shocker!), with a voiceover of a cop and Jacque's mom
2. Gus destroy the head, then scene of Bebe selling the head to the woman (same as above), with a voiceover of Jacque and Gus
3. Is the third ending showing the scene of Bebe selling the head to the woman too? id the game explain anywhere how Bebe obtained the head?
Finally, what's up with the black dye in the bathroom sink of the Whyte's room? Is it somehow connected to Sophia Blake?
And....what's Sophia's identity exactly? All I know is that her husband died, she was the only child and inherited much money. Hired two conman to steal the Head that supposedly belonged to her dead husband.

Status : Online | Head to the Police station and talk to Lebrun. Present all the evidence that you got. If you have enough, which you *should* have if you followed this walkthrough, Hellouin should be sent in for questioning at the end of the conversation.
There are three endings available here, the outcome when you give the head to Kaufner/Allepin depends on if you presented enough evidence to Lebrun or not

1. when I didnt had enough evidence I got shot!
2. I got nearly got shot and got help from the other guy.
I was frustriated when I got the first ending. Then I discovered theres a box in the Eatons apartment that I forgot tot open. And I had to go over with all the paintings and finding the head.
The cut scenes made me jump cause I played it at night and with the speaker loud. Awsome.
Hmm.. by the looks of it, someone had their post deleted. So now it looks as if I had sent in too much posts. gee...

I seem to be stuck on a puzzle no else had trouble with!!
It is that combination lock in the book in the crypt.
I know someone tried to explain it earlier in this thread but that didn't help much.
There are 3 rings with letters and TWO number scrollbars.
First do both these number scrollbars have the same code in order to solve this?
I know you have to use the letters N-A-D in combination with what ring they are on counting out from the center.
But could someone explain this fully cus' nothing I try is working. ???

I've finally finished this game! Great thing is that everyone who plays has slightly their own version or experience of it.
My ending I got was Mcpherson destroying the (fake) Baphomet and then knocking out the alchemist (who is possessing Kaufners body at the moment.)
Then hte final scene is Gus talking to somebody, either hte police chief or Huillot. Hopefully hte newly freed Huillot. As "Bebe" sells the real Baphomet head to that psychic lady.
This whole thing reeks of sequel as there are too many unanswered questions so on.
I do believe that the ancient alchemist who was inhabiting the de Alpins body then left de Alpins aging body and transmoved or whatever to Kaufners body. So in the end that isn't really Kaufner we see, just his body and the ancient alchemist possessing it. Also the head I break isn't the real one. Why would Gus knowingly bring the real one if he could trick them with a fake.
OK now I am wondering how do I free Hellouin earlier in the game than the ending?? I gave the police inspector tons of evidence. The vapor, the knife, and more. What exacly is all the evidence he needs???
What do you think about the end???
