Finished the game, i didnt managed to convince Lebrun to get Hellouin out of jail.
In my opinion this is the worst adventure game i've ever played. Its so short, and missing alot of stuff..

Status : Online | Okay I'm really starting to think that with all the possibilities of doing things in this game that they didn't properly beta test them all.
Here are my two problems.
When I switched characters and was playing as the french detective and not guss machpherson, I went to the Eaton's apartment and found the key but I didn't open up their box in the clost with the key. I had the key in my possession as the french detective guy but when the game switched and I was guss macpherson once more, I didn't inherit the key that I never used. That key is gone I can't find it anymore and I can't open that box in the closet of the Eaton's apartment. Am I missing something?
Secondly I cannot talk about the head of baphoumet with bebe at the alambic bistro, there is no option to talk to her about it. I talked to her about hulot being killed and all that. There is no dialogue to talk about the head thus I can't complete the candle/fresco puzzle because it's not triggered. I can grab the candle but the candle isn't lit when I move it over the painting and it doesn't zoom in. I checked my sketchbook there is no head of bophoumet sketched in it. What am I supposed to do?

About the key : Talk to Mme. Helloin - she will give you a key to Helloins safe in his office desk. Maybe it's there.

I got it now.
As said here you need the sketch of the head of Baphomet which can be found in the locked box in the toilet at the Eatons (door in bedroom). You need a small yellowish key for this, I believe I found in room 505 or 507 or was it in Eatons' apartment.

Also I open up a drawer in helloins office and there is an opened box with nothing inside.
I already fllowed the dialogue about faking art. There was nothing about the head of baphoumet.

Is that their appartment or their hotell room? I can't find any bathroom at their appartment and I can't find any locked box in their hotell room bathroom.

For the dialog with Bebe' : As far as I remember, the crucial "question" was something like: "But faking art is like stealing it's magic". Bebe' tells then, that she too has worked for Hulot . MacPherson will ask, if she has done some work recently and she will say, that she as done a job for Hulot the very day when Mac first visited the Alambic. Then Mac shows her the sketch of the head of Baphomet - and she will recognize her "work". But there are so many different ways in that game - I've played it the second time now and found so many variations...

The Etons safe (or box) is in their apartment (closet in the first bedroom). The key can be found on different places - depending on what you have done so far. It's either under a poster at the Etons apartment; or in the fire place in the Whytes (aka Etons) hotel room; or in the safe of Helloins office desk ( second drawer); or among the files of Dr. Kauffner in his office desk. Maybe there are still other possibilities I've failed to notice

Ahhh... thanks. I had already opened that box as Hellouin so it was in Dr Kauffners desk. I had tried to search it earlier and not found the droor, took me a while this time too even though I knew there was one

Okay what are the 3 endings. I got the endings when I get killed, blake gets killed and the french detective is hung for the crimes.
The other ending I got is where I smash the head, hit kaufner in the head and blake is left hanging from the roap, and the french detective is saved.
Is there another one?

To The Watchmaker: The mistake I made several times is using a longer way of measuring, i.e. 34 and 175 ingredients. Let's say for 34, use 25, 5, and 4 of the 1 measuring spoons.  oes that help? you know which colors to use?
To Thewiseg:
Actually, I wrote down five dates
5 July 1099 14 January 1128 24 June 1305 18 March 1314 13 October 1307
I do not know if the solution is random or not, but the date that worked for me was 24 June 1305.

The correct date is the one found under a picture of a man with the orrery (that's the planetary device for you who might not know)

SPOILERS:*********
Windsomer: Here are The SPOILERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS, just did them last night and have all my notes.
Black - Earth 15 Blue-Wind 34 Green-Water 175 Red-Fire 65
and don't ask how long it took me to figure that all out, just say television at 3 in the morning is all info commercials. At least when you mix wrong you don't die.
The ring as I recall, if facing the constellation setup is in the bookcase to your right at the end of the room. If not right, then just go along the shelves slowly and you will spot it.
Hope this helps.

Believe it or not, I actually got this one right the first time. Needless to say, I was very surprised because I thought I was really going on a limb with such a far-fetched solution
BTW anyone noticed that this topic is HOT? I guess it means that Post Mortem isn't too easy

However, that is what makes a good game. This had a good storyline and you just wanted to get a little further to see what was around the corner.
Yes, this was is a hot topic and so was Cameron Files II. Personally, think it is great that this part of the site is starting to gain momentum and had hoped that people would start using it to ask and answer questions.
