Anyone played this game? Hows this for adventure fans? Im looking for a good story /characters / dialogues and a variety of fantasy type locations.

Deleted UserDemo's good - you can download it from www.gamershell.com . Try it. The reviews are uniformly excellent.

Thanks Ill try that.

Is Armed and Dangerous in the same vein or is that pure action?

Deleted UserWhoo - quick reply. You're online too? That's a rarity in these forums, being online the same time as me!

Armed and Dangerous is pure action. Although it is incredibly silly in a Monty Python way, and if it's anything like Giants (the developers other past title) it's probably well worth playing. It's also third person, meaning if you suffer motion sickness on 3D games you'd probably be OK.

I liked Giants, for its quirkiness and cartoony graphics. Playing 3 races was also fun. I had loved their earlier MDK also. Now Im undecided which one to get - Armed and Dangerous or Beyond Good and Evil. I'll be buying one of these along with Broken Sword 3 btw.

Deleted UserErm... that's a hard one. Personally I'm really interested in BGAE, but I know I'd be pissing myself with laughter on the other one if it's anything like Giants.

I'd go for AAD methinks. But don't blame me if it's no good.

Demo was enough to turn me away

The demo had you guiding the main chicky through a tunnel of some sort and the camera angles were horrible.

Bad cameras at this point in gaming are intolerable!

Alrighty I'll check out both demos first. Armed and Dangerous looks really tempting with its cartoony graphics, but the Good and Evil screenshots seem to suggest some semblance of a good story.

Anyone played Prince of Persia Sands of Time? Does it have anything going for it besides action and graphics?

I love beyond good and evil.
you can say it`s similar to zelda. you got access to the whole island from the beginning and there is lots of minigames. I like the story to but there aren`t many surprises. you know pretty much everything from the beginning.
If you don`t like stealth, keep away! there is lots of sneaking around.

the camera AI might be bad, but you always have full control of it so it didn`t bother me at all.
it isn`t long though. took me 14 hours to complete.

Prince of persia is a great game, but soo short! about 8 hours for me

Prince of Persia is awesome (played the demo for x-box, getting it for christmas), I recommend it.

I'm also looking forward to Armed and Dangerous which was fun and hilarious (enjoyed the x-box demo, never tried the pc one)

I only ever play games here and there... never know how long it takes.

BTW Just played a newer BGAE demo, and it was superb. Wish all games had graphics, music and animation like that. And superb design, really inspiring. Can't beat the French at cartoon and wierd, can you?

It takes me tons of time to finish a game. I play a game around an hour a day, unless I take some time off my sleeping hours. Ive been playing Syberia for 2 weeks now and Im not even 1/3 through I think. And people say its short and easy! Tony Tough took me a month, using walkthrough for the difficult stuff.

But this way I can never complain Im short of adventure games! I yet have Broken Sword 3, Runaway, Black Mirror from this year alone.

oh, and most of the games I play have timers on the savegames so it`s not hard to find out how long it took to complete them
