"I'm of the Old School ....... don't hand over your money until you have the goods LOL  I use the Internet for all my Banking, etcetera ..... but giving out my credit card details to buy online?.  I don't think so LOL"

I always use paypal for paying for my ebay items.  The vast majority of sellers accept paypal now and its a very quick,  easy and safe way to pay for your items.  You pay via credit card (or funds in your paypal account) but the seller never sees the cc details.

I love eBay and have gotten a lot of deals there...you just have to be careful (read feedback and fineprint).  What I really love is their sister company, Half.com.  You don't have to bid, you can just buy and it's usually a pretty decent price.

Just like most of you I was completing transactions on both end on Ebay. One thing is not clear to me: people who are experiencing problems i.e. merchandise never received, wrong items, etc. Didn't you guys protect yourself by paying through Paypal or Bidpay? Both of those services accept credit cards without revealing any personal info. to the seller.

If the seller doesn't accept paypal or similar sort of payment then I don't see the point of taking the risk.

Just my 2 cents.
