I live not in UK, but I know that www.dvdboxoffice.com , charges no shipping fee. As for getting Syberia, www.amazon.co.uk should have it.

Many adventure games are rereleased by Sold Out Software and in the Advertising forum, there was a post by someone listing a number of ame sellers in the UK.

I'm from the UK as well.

Most of the new games i buy i get from www.dvdboxoffice.com  They are cheap,  but sometimes items are out of stock and they take a while to get them back in stock.   You can also try www.dragon.ca   I have used both companies a number of times and can recommend either of them.

Just checked www.dragon.ca  According to their website they have Syberia for PC in stock.  It will cost approx £8 for shipping.

If you would rather buy from the UK try www.play.com  They don't have the best choice,  but they are reliable and ultra cheap.  If you don't already have The Watchmaker it is being released in the UK on the 13/12/02.  Play are taking pre-orders for it now for £17.99 (recorded p+p included.)

For older games try one of the online auction sites.

Deleted UserCD Access is in the US but it has reasonable prices, many elections and it ships to most countries.

Also just a point on the 2nd post.  It is almost impossible to buy Syberia in the UK.  Amazon.co.uk have it listed,  but its a special order and can take 4-6 weeks.  None of the major online software retailers have it.  I ended up buying mine from www.dvdboxoffice.com

You could try one of the high street retailers like EB or Game.  I looked in my local EB and Game on Saturday though and the choice of adventure games was abysmal.

I just finished Syberia about an hour ago - got my copy from Virgin in Leeds. So far it's the only place I've seen it.

Deleted UserYou can buy online direct from Dreamcatcher,  CD Access (who deliver SOOO quickly. I order one day - and they arrive about 36 hours later!)
INTERACT, of course DarkFall can be got from the developers in London.

What I tend to do is see which games are getting good preview reviews - then go to the developers website.
Most of them sell on-line.

I've found the JA Forum an invaluable source of on-line retailers.

Pippa,
I had a lot of trouble finding Syberia a couple of weeks ago too. I found this place . . Try here ; http://www.ajg-games.co.uk/cgi-bin-games/shop.cgi?search=syberia
I spoke to the chappie on the phone at about 8p.m. (he might be there now), to check his stock levels. He was very helpful. Good luck and let me know how you get on.
.
Cheers !

P.S. ; Game came in 8 days.

I've been trying to access Frogwares for a few days now.
I can't get it to load either - I think it is just very slow on my machine.
I don't get the 404 error - it just trys for about three minutes before I give up.

I know what you mean, UK is not a good plays to be if you like adv games. (I used to live in Sweden,no problems getting adv games. Now I live in Dublin and it is as bad as UK so thank G**D for the net)

Here is two sites (UK) with some adv games that I have used in the past (they have Syberia among others)
www.edream.co.uk
www.netbuyer.co.uk

Deleted UserWell - I went into the Big City (Carlisle) today and trawled the various game stores.
I found one new adventure in 'Game'.
It's for 3 years+ - "Gast - the greatest little ghost".

I asked about several games due out soon - but none of them had plans to stock them.
In fact - HMV are selling off their PC games at knock down prices. From £2.99.
I reckon they'll soon stop stocking PC games altogether.

My copy of Cameron Files 2 and Darkfall arrived this morning - Yus!!!

(And yes - I bought Gast

Not bad - it had to come all the way to Scotland!
