As Christmas and the other Winter holidays approach, I'm trying to put together my gaming wish list.  I'm curious what everyone is hoping to find under the tree Christmas morning.  I'll start things off with my list:

Adventure (I just wish there were more):

Black Mirror
Uru
Schizm 2 (Oh sorry, Mysterious Journey 2.
)
Broken Sword 3

Non-Adventure (What can I say, there's room for all types on my list):

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (RPG Heaven)

Defender of the Crown (Retro!)

Greyhawk Temple of Elemental Evil (Classic RPG)

Neverwinter Hordes of the Underdark Expansion (get the idea I like RPG?)

Max Payne 2 (Film Noir head knocking for when I get stuck in Uru)

Tron 2.0 (Yep, I saw Tron when it came out, what choice do I really have?)

Return of the King (If you played Two Towers, you know what to hope for here)

Anyway, there is a glimpse into my Christmas stocking.  I won't get them all but I can dare to dream.  Whats gonna be in yours?

I'm getting myself Uru and BS3 for Christmas.

For non-adventure games I'm interested in Crimson Skies, Links 2004, Midway Arcade Classics, and Intellivision Lives just off the top of my head.

Well, my list is very short because I know myself very well and I will spend every dime I have in the game fund on all the great games coming out this month.

Deus Ex II if it doesn't get released on time.

Night of the Raven-Add on to Gothic II.

What do I want for christmas? Well, it's my birthday on the 20th this month, so I'll answer for that instead...

Most of all, I want a boyfriend  :'(

Failing that, I'd like a set of Trigun DVDs.

But as for games... I'd love to get my hands on Broken Sword 3, Black Mirror, Conspiracies, Jack The Ripper, and Darkfall.

Deleted UserThere are a bunch of games that I want but most of them will not be released until after the New Year.

I think that Broken Sword will have to do it for Christmas.   :'(  I already have Runaway, Journey to Center of Earth and Black Mirror.  I should have waited for Santa but I lost my self control.

I'm one of those individuals who is cursed (priveleged?) to have their birthday a mere 2.5 weeks before Christmas.  That being said, my Birthday/Christmas wish list is:

Adventure
- Syberia
- Black Mirror
- Nancy Drew: The Haunted Carousel
- Nancy Drew: Danger on Deception Island

Non-Adventure
The Sims: Unleashed
The Sims: Makin' Magic

I miss my Bubba: 1986 - 2006.

My birthday is december 12.

I kinda like celebrating my birthday and xmas almost at the same time in the year. December is my favorite month (lots of presents).

I've got the Black Mirror, Broken Sword 3, and Dark Fall coming this month. Tony Tough, Rhem, and Physicus showed up on my doorstep today. And I just picked up Neverwinter Nights and the Thief 1 and 2 bundle over the weekend (I wasn't planning on getting those now, but they were on sale)

*Sigh* I have no shame or will power.....and when am I going to get around to playing all these? Can one take a adventure game leave from work? I need to check the employee handbook on that one.... :

Man, the thing I hate about Christmas season is my wife puts me on a 2 month moratorium for buying myself games, CDs, books, and DVDs, because she doesn't want me buying something that someone else might get me as a present.

So this November 1, as usual, she told me to stop buying stuff, but she forgot to ask (and I forgot to mention) whether I had anything on pre-order. Of course the first day she goes out shopping (last Saturday) she gets me the new Lord of the Rings game that I've had on pre-order for weeks (gulp!). And when I tried to cancel the order Amazon wouldn't let me because they were just about to ship it.

Anyway, other games on my pre-order/Christmas list (a mix of PC and console games):
  • Freedom Force
  • Summoner 2 (gc)
  • Journey to the Center of the Earth
  • Shadow Of Destiny
  • Black Mirror
  • Conspiracies
  • Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy (gc)
  • Gothic 1
  • Broken Sword Sleeping Dragon Hidden Monkey
  • Beyond Good & Evil (gc)
  • Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
  • Star Wars: KOTOR
  • The Hobbit (gc)

And DVDs:
  • Angel season 2
  • Buffy season 4
  • Sopranos season 4
  • The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy complete series

Uh,

Uru of course
Deus Ex 2
Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando
Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance 2
Gothic II
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
Beyond Good and Evil

Remember, procrastinate now.  Don't put it off!!

Wolfboy,

I just finished watching the Trigun series a couple of nights ago.

Though I still like Cowboy Bebop better, Trigun just kept getting better and better.

And I did forget that I would like Jack the Ripper.

Broken Sword 3. And 2. And 1. I've never played any of them and can't find them at any discount stores.

I'm thinking about Uru but I'm not a big fan of the fact you have to pay a monthly subscription fee. I believe that one purchase should cover it. It's a shame because the game looks fascinating, and I like the idea of a multi-player adventure game (RPGs get too much attention).

Syberia 2. (Yeah, it will be a late Xmas this year)

Think I'll skip Black Mirror because I'm not a big fan of horror adventure. Horror is too easy: Just be all dark and moody and throw in a monster here and there.

As far as non-adventure games, I can't think of many. I was looking forward to Half-Life 2 but some idiot hacker delayed it (like to know that guy's address). I'm not a great fan of RPGs -- they take up too much time -- but that game "Lost Contients" looked interesting in subject content. Then again, its web site hasn't been updated in ages, so I'm betting it's no longer in development.

How about the Sims 2? Nope. Also got to wait until 2004.

Ask me this question next year.

You can currently get Broken Sword 2 at gogamer.com for a most reasonable $9.99 U.S.  I just got one!  Still haven't found the first one though....

December 7 for me.  I like getting presents and then more presents a little later.  But the rest of the year I'm on my own.

I've already purchased, pre-purchased, played, or have coming to me as a reviewer everything else I'm interested in for the Xmas season.

Well then, I'm not going to send you that original shrinkwrapped, factory-sealed Celtica I had all picked out for you!
