| Deleted User | Let's hope they get the bugs out of the first Syberia before they release the sequel. This is sounding like Maxis and the Sims ........ sheesh!  are I say it? Microsoft as well? "security updates" all the time .....
I agree that Adventure games are the best, I hate meandering around looking over my shoulder for The Thing to kill me and I forgot to SAVE LOL

Status : Online | What bugs? I also have Syberia and the game runs flawlessly on my machine. What graphics card do you have? Have you trying playing around with the options?
I have an Asus Gephorce 4 and Longest Journey crashes when I run it in 32 bits. And TLJ has all this sticky sound problems also. All games have their flaws and problems. Some more, some less. You just have to find a way to pass around them.
Think of it as an extra puzzle ??? Just kidding, I know it shouldn't be like this, but you can't think less of the whole game just because it has bugs.

Status : Online | Greetings,
Humm... Got that mail too Excelent news, now I'm just expecting TLJ sequel btw, played Syberia to the end without seeing one bug... my specs: P3 450 (overclocked 504 mhz ) RAM 128MB Hercules 3D prophet 4500 TV-Out HD 40GB CD-ROM 36x WIN XP (rocks hard here!)
If you're having that kind of errors with WIN XP check this --> www.tweakxp.com and search for services deactivation. It helped me a lot to improve performance and stability of my XP. As you can see I don't have a dream machine and I boot my computer in one and a half minutes (WEE ) and run all games very well. Syberia and TLJ run clean here (although I played TLJ for the first time in win98, but I've played it recently with XP bugless )
Farewell.

i have not got around to buying the first one yet. is it good? anything like the longest journey (my fav game so far)?
Its boring, there isn't any action at all. You walk around picking up things and using them with other items. You walk around and use the item on something. Walking around and talking to people is really lame, what about some shooting or something~APuddleduck&&

Status : Online | I think comparing it with longest journey is not a good thing. Ok guys the longest journey was phenomenal. They spent 5 years to make this game, which is an unusual amount of time and effort to make a game.
I think we should look at Syberia as a new game because I think there are not so many games that can compete with TLJ.
Syberia is a must-have for every true adventure fan. It has one of the best stories ever. The puzzles are all logical and the graphics and sound is phenomenal.
It has some downsides, like short length and not enough hotspots to get feedback from, but those downsides are not enough to take away the classic characterization of the game.
Two thumbs up, if I had 3 thumbs I would say three thumbs up, and the best thing you have to do is go and buy that game. If you really have to know TLJ is a better game but if you are waiting for a game better than tlj to actually buy one then I think you're not going to be buying a lot of games in the near future.
