| Deleted User | You DIDN'T like the second one?! How come?
(I'll get SH3 in a couple of day too, can't tell you anything about it yet)

| Deleted User | IT WAS GREAT!!!! I chose normal puzzle and easy action so it was easy to finish the game. I'm glad I finished it as fast as I could. It made me quite uncomfortable for a few days cause I couldn't stop palying it . ALthough the character IMO does run quite slow. I never played the first and the second one yet though.

Status : Online | Just got SH3 this afternoon. Looking good so far (controls are a little bit fiddly though).
So far though all I've done is walked around a bit, stabbed something that may or may not have once been a dog and run into a creepy souvenier shop.

Nosferatu sounds interesting actually. I'd be interested in knowing whether or not the random / real-time elements work well or not.

It seemed that all it was you killing monsters, and saving your relatives and having to get them back to a safe area and all the time there is this clock in the upper left corner telling you, you better get going or you are going to lose.

Still. I now have a bullet proof vest and a large metal pipe....oh how the tables turn....

The game is fantastic!!! I am in Silent Hill town now. Everything is perfect. The graphics PERFECT! Everything, textures, animation, EVERYTHING. The music, THE BEST! Plot, by far the best Silent hill plot EVER!! It is totally combined with the first Silent Hill. Absolutely AWESOME! The gameplay works very good for me and I really like it.
The scene in the car is probably the best scene ever. The animation is so real. I bet that they could make a movie just using the game engine. It isn’t FMV so it doesn’t take much space…only code! I love it…
The game so far gets 98/100! However, I think that NOW the game really starts

| Deleted User | Bravo! I knew you would be stunned by the realistic graphics! even when I first was Heather I already admired it all.
I don't know any other Silent Hill games other than the third one but I do get the feeling that the more deeper I go into the story(when a new chapter begins), I feel that the fear factor grows a bit higher. It becomes worse and worse! . I don't know how they do that but it's really great!!!

I just want to cut from the box the stupid Nvidia logo "the way its meant to be played". My a$$.

My eyes always pop when I see it is Niva and hope that I can play the game.
Have ATI and so far so good in the games with Niva but I still don't understand why they would not try to make it compatible with all three of the big names at least.
So what do you do now?

| Deleted User | It's probably because the game uses some really advanced shader routines. I very much doubt a Geforce MX could handle some of the pixel shader effects I've seen in this - the brilliant sewer water and moving textures on everything in the "alternate" worlds are very complex. The models are also extremely complicated - especially Heather. It's a bit choppy on my Ti4600 at high resolution so I doubt whether an MX could handle it at all, even on lower res', without it looking terrible.
My favourite scene? In the alternate hospital, you go into a room with a mirror and get trapped there. Blood drains from the walls on the other side of the mirror into a sink, then the sink fills up on your side as your mirror image is covered in blood and stops moving. Then it starts to crawl up the walls, up your legs... ick... scary as hell...

| Deleted User | I think they're different for keyboard control, but then I'm playing with a gamepad with analog control so I wouldn't know. Running into walls is optional.
BTW This game is sooo freaky. Freakier but less bleak, in a sense, than the second. The scene described above is typical - it basically does everything to unnerve and/or scare the crap outta you...
