[move][size=24]Great deals at Best Buy[/move]

Post Mortem - $19.99

Nancy Drew: Secret of the Scarlet Hand - $9.99 [Closeout]

Nancy Drew: Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake - $9.99 [Closeout]

Indiana Jones & the Emperor's Tomb (PC) - $19.99

Not sure why just those two Nancy Drew games are on sale - Haunted Mansion, Royal Tower, and Final Scene are all still $19.99 and they were released before those two.  Maybe they need more room than what's available for Danger on Deception Island.  But a deal is a deal!  And just in time to play Ghost Dogs on Halloween.  BTW, I snatched up the last copies of those two games at the store I visited & since it's a closeout sale, I'd encourage you to get to Best Buy right away before they disappear!

Just my luck: As I saw Post Mortem on the shelf for that price, at the same time I was unexpectedly winning an eBay auction for the game as well ... which comes to almost the same price if you include shipping.  Of all the times someone doesn't outbid me at the last minute.  Oh well.   :

Scarlet Hand's probably $9.99 because they have the version that comes with a book for $19.99.  Hmm... $10 for a book one can probably get for less than a buck.  I think I'll take the version without.

Ahh, that explains it, I guess.  I would at least encourage people to try the game for a few hours before they need the strategy guide.  But I've never read a Nancy Drew strategy guide; maybe they have lot of behind the scenes stuff and cool facts about the production of the game.

It's not a strategy guide, it's a book... a Nancy Drew novel.

What novel?  I know The Final Scene came with a novel, but that's the only one I heard about.

Yeah, that's what I was saying. I'd rather just get the book at a used bookstore or something for 25 cents.   But hey, if these repackaged re-releases cause the originals to drop down to half the original price, I'm all for them.

Update: Stores like Best Buy and Target are now selling Scarlet Hand and Ghost Dogs with the books.  The original games sold just by themselves are no longer on the shelves.

Unlike The Final Scene, where the book is tucked away neatly in the box (with a picture on the front), these boxes containing the books are an extra part of the box on the side, with a large enough "window" so you can see the book.  So the box is like twice as wide.
 But the books that are being packaged aren't always on the bookshelf with the other Nancy Drew books, so it's not that bad to package them with the games for those who are interested.
