What does that link have to do with those who are curious? I think you meant to say ' for those who care about such small matters as who posted the news minutes before someone else"
Is there any reason you post at JA Forum other than to be contentious? You seem to have a thorn up your butt everytime you post here as anyone can see by your previous postings and its even more noticeable when someone doesn't worship at the throne of Lucas Arts. And then you like to take your smarmy act over to another forum and boast, "oh look what I posted at JA!" Grow up. This boards not like that.

Status : Online | You're right, I do like goading people a little bit on web forums, but I'd hardly consider what I did a troll or a spam post (fortunately you didn't seem to either). In all seriousness, though, if any of your readers are remotely like me (which I'm assuming they are, at least in this respect), if they see news posts on a game they're excited about, they very well might to want to check it out at at least one or two additional sources. You know, in hopes of gleaning that one extra half-sentence of knowledge that one site or the other filtered out of their initial writeup. I wouldn't want people to think that JA was the sole source of information on LSL 8 updates. Surely your forum regulars will come back here first, but if this forum is anything like AG's (which it must be, since they're both forums brimming with adventure fans), there's gotta be a bit of ostrich action going on, and everyone needs a good poke now and then to go and get some fresh air, and a change of scenery, even if that change of air and scenery is only virtual.
Now, I know you haven't got the time, nor will you take my word for it (as I'm sure you trust me about as far as I can throw you), but you could search the Internet far and wide and would find nothing resembling me "boasting" about this thread. That wasn't my intent at all. For my intent see the prior paragraph
Also, the fact that I work on Mixnmojo in my free time has pretty much zero relevance to this post, so I don't know why you brought it up. I don't think you're really in a position to be talking when it comes to this sort of thing, anyway. I have no idea of your behind the scenes editorial policy, but the message you send to me whenever Dreamcatcher/TAC's entire site comes up in a pop-up along with the JA index page is definitely a suspicious one. At least we've never had a popup that goes straight to the LucasArts.com store on our site.

Status : Offline | while you were taking your class in cospiracy theories, did you also notice we have pop-ups from Microids & Viva besides Dreamcatcher? And soon from Tivola and others. What this says to me is that we are supported and sponsered by the companies that make adventure games. Alls it says to someone like yourself is that we must be on the take from these companies. Like I said - grow up. This site does not run for free and we pay people and for server space
And no there is not a thing wrong with linking to other postings on a subject, but a "Hey, there is something aobut this at Adventure Gamers also," is fine, we don't need the immature 'they had it first' attitude on the forum. Maybe some of your 'I'll go tell Randy a thing or two' postings over at AG seem to make me suspicious about your true intentions - you think?

| Deleted User | I feel the same way. Just because they have the right to do the game, I think any established series deserves a certain respect to what was previously built up. And for me, LSL and Al Lowe is unseparable. Still, I will keep an open mind about the game. If they do a complete bastardization of the series, my hope in Sierra is forever lost. But if they manage to whip up a good game, it's worth supporting in the hope for more classic series to return. We'll just have to wait with the judging until at least we know what kind of game this will be. If it's not an adventure game, or at least a game with adventure elements in it, I will not be interested in it.

I am so honored that Sierra throws a token bone at adventure gamers. Awwww gee, what pals.
But a LSL game without Al's magic fingered touch just doesn't seem worthwhile to me. >

| Deleted User | If we're going to talk about who broke the news about the upcoming Larry game, it actually was LarryLives.com (www.larrylives.com). This is not brag, but you may very well consider it as that, if you like. I'm just out to get some recognition for the hard work the people over at LarryLives.com does.
LarryLives.com is a very small site, if you measure the size of the site by the traffic, and we need all the recognition we can get and quite frankly, this time I feel that we've earned it.

Status : Online | thanks Matt, I'm feeling alot better already! And Souza, I am sure most of us were hoping Larry 8 would be Lust in Space and that it would be designed by Al Lowe. Unfortunately it's too late for this game, but who knows, perhaps next time. Let's hope Larry 8 is playable anyway.
now what i actually wanted to say is this: LarryLives has today recieved the hint that Larry 8 is going to be oficially announced tomorrow!!!!
keep checking their announcement page or just use the link on our site.

In other words, they're using the franchise to make more money from a game that (I expect) won't have much to do with Larry.
In other words, you can kiss our butts Sierra.

Status : Online | I never heard of plans for Larry 8 to be a multiplayer game, Al Lowe says on his homepage, that only a short movie for Larry 8 was made in 3d but otherwise it was supposed to be an adventure. As for an instant damnation of a game I know nothing about, I will wait a bit, see what information will be available and then say what I think of it, as of now I still have my hopes up, despite them being dampened by the image on Al Lowe's homepage.
