The resolution is set to 800 * 600. It works fine on my machine. I decided to set to that resolution because there are people like me who don't have great eyesight.
Regarding the room with the password. Have you found the password/s? They are scattered around the place. You have to search the rooms to find the password/s.

Yes, I understand that. The 800x600 is fine, but it should go full screen. Right now there is an 800x600 game window in the middle of my 1280x1024 screen surrounded by black. There is a setting in AM that will have the game change my resolution to 800x600 while the game is playing.

I found a few password clues, but when I went into that room where it asks for me to enter it in, I could not leave to go look for more clues. The only hotspot I was able to see and click on was the one that prompts for the password.
It seemed a bit strange to me. There was no indication that this was the place to enter it in. It was just a normal file cabinet and when you click on it you get a windows dialog box for entering in that password. I think it would have been better if there was some kind of control panel that you accessed instead. When a windows dialog box pops up, it spoils the immersion and takes you out of the game so to speak. :-/

Have you downloaded the small patch above that should fix it.
I am taking note of this and will fix this in the final game.

Players shouldn't have to alter their PC settings to play your game the way they want. You should always try to give them what they want within your game.

I'll grab that patch and check it out in a bit.

It's not clear where the exit is in some of the screens, but I'm pretty sure that close-up had no exit. I have to say that the demo reminds me of alot of other games that were made with Adventure Maker - dark, abandoned places with lots of reading and password puzzles, and it doesn't seem to show what the website for the game shows.

The demo is only a very small part of the game.
Gameplay would be boring if everything was all sweetness and light.
People do give up too easy

But what about the bug I found?

I found no way to get out of the room that asks for the password and ended up having to quit. - Am I two feet tall in the game? It feels like it based on the angle I am seeing the rooms. If I am, nice job! If I'm not, well...it's probably WAY too late to try and fix that. :-/
I noticed the same problem with the height of the player. It did sort of feel like the camera was sitting on the floor.
It was frustrating that when I entered a room I could not always turn around and leave and I too found that I was quiting the game and restarting.

In the tunnels, right after you can walk around, I clicked on going forward and got to a close-up of some pipes inside a cage and couldn't turn around anymore. Thanks.

Which room are you talking about? Did you install the small patch.
You can save and load in the demo by pressing the Esc key.
Shany if you wave your mouse over the cage you will see a hotspot. This will give you a clue on how to get out of the tunnels

Hi Mark,
I did install the patch.
- I didn't seem to be able to find a turn around when I was presented with the password request if I remember correctly.
- I got stuck in the office that is accessible right when you enter the asylum
- In the room with the week old donuts, it seemed the only way to go was out the door on the right.
- in one of the offices, can't recall which of the 2 I entered it was, it was by accident that I found a move hotspot (a u-turn I think it was) in the upper right corner of the frame. I was looking for a turn around at the bottom of the frame :-?
- btw is there music or sound in the demo? I didn't notice any

The patch fixes so you can back out of the room asking for the password.
Though it may appear to be confusing, you are in part of an Asylum (not always logical).
Yes there is sound and music a little further on.
I am trying to reduce pixel hunting.

Just click on the hotspot until something happens
Because it does. If you are looking at the cage and there is a wheel with a hotspot, click on it until another hotspot appears.

I have a suggestion, if this really frustrates you then just don't play the demo.
Something tells me you were not meant to play it.

OK, that worked, and I managed to finish the demo. It was pretty long, but I got stuck about five or six times because I couldn't find where to turn around or even go forward. A lot of things didn't make sense, but they probably do in the full game.

I don't think many people will want to play your game if you keep this attitude...
