| Deleted User | I'm quite looking forward to this. I'm downloading all the games now. Can't wait to see what everyone's come up with!

| Deleted User | Blech. So far, I've played seven of the games, of which: 1 is a stupid choose-your-own adventure with really bad gameplay 1 is buggy, poorly written and all-out bad 1 is offensive and rude 1 is amusing and well-programmed but just a gimmick 1 is poorly written cutesy garbage with a nonsensical ending 2 are amusing with good gameplay, but lacking in the plot and writing areas. How are the rest of you faring? Does anyone else have comments on the comp?

Status : Online | I am playing the z-code games. I think there are about 10 z-games, all written with inform. So far, only two of them, which are quite in the line of the old infocom´s games, deserved my attention. I am a bit disappointed but I am going to restrain myself from drawing an overall judge about the competition until I play the TADS and Glux games. Last years, the best of the competition was around them.

Status : Online | I've played a lot of the older comp games, both good and bad, but usually play after the competition is over so I can pick based on others comments. I don't have a lot of time to spend, so I haven't tried judging before. This is the first time I'm hitting them all completely cold.
I have some comments I would like to make, good and bad, but I wouldn't feel comfortable doing so about this year's competition until the voting is over since the rules for judging prohibit it. I can say that in past comps there have been a few really good ones mixed in with some okay ones and some really lame ones, so I don't see why it would be any different this time. If anything, the lame ones make you appreciate what it takes to make a good game all the more. And remember, the two hour time limit for judging a game is the maximum time to spend, the minimum is not specified as long as you feel comfortable with your vote.

| Deleted User | Competition 2003 is over! Results should be out soon! Reviews are popping up like rabbits! Comments anyone? My favourite game was Slouching Towards Bedlam. My least favourite was Curse of Manorland.

(I get the banana! I R winz0r!)
I only played a handful of tads games during the comp itself - not being a judge I generally wimp out and wait to see the reviews before trying many of the titles. So the most fun I personally had was the Erudition Chamber, although I wish it had been longer...
