Status : Online | Mafia is great! Some of the "on foot" stuff can be a little tricky to get to grips with (and that chapter where you have to race a stolen race car is a nightmare) but otherwise a pretty good game. The story, soundtrack and voice acting is excellent.
Actually I still don't know how it ends. I got stuck pretty far into the game (it involves picking up booze from a farmyard - don't want to say any more in case of spoiling the game).

| Deleted User | Everyone's played it! It's the only "action" game most adventurers take seriously.
Wait 'til the sex scene and grimace in embaressment.

The race is pretty hard, isn't it? I set the controls to Easy and Damage Off and then proceeded to TRY to win that race about 10 times. Finally did it and discovered, like anything else, I guess, it just takes time and patience. And NO mistakes!!!
I just finished the Visit to the Country mission this weekend. Again, slow and steady wins the day. Keep your eyes peeled and you will see the baddies (often in the barn rafters, where their shadows are a "dead" giveaway : ). Use the shot gun at close range. You have to finish this level! There is a great arcade style truck race at the end and YOU have the Tommy Gun. It is much fun.
My most difficult level so far was at the airport. I WOULD charge into the hangar.....and promptly get blown away. Finally took my time and got analytical about it.
I am now trying to play the stealthy level involving the mansion and some papers in a safe. The baseball bat is sure coming in handy on this one.

Hey MD. I thought the scene with Sarah was rather tastefully done, actually, especially for a game! Oh well. I guess I watch too much HBO! :
I am finding most of the relationships and interaction are written at a more serious and mature level in this game than many others. I can't wait to discover how it all will play out in the end.

Like I've said before...and I'll continue to say for a long time, "Mafia is one of the best games ever made."
It has all the elements of a superb movie, all the gameplay elements of a superb game, nickdittbop killin' 40s jazz, etc...
I really praise this game...praise praise praise...
~rbeeler SVT &&Name's STooGE$$$$ Valpurgius TNT; it's not PLURAL&&&&151.Generally speaking Sludge Doomsters are Angry, Gothic doomsters are sad, funeral doomsters are barely breathing, death doomsters are dirty, drunk and dribbling, Stoner Doomsters don't care, drone doomsters are out of it and traditional Doomsters are permanently pissed off, mainly with other doomsters
