Status : Online | As soon as you have checked the box and the timer starts, go between the box and that statue to the left of the box. He says something about seeing before being seen or something like that. Just move there and there will be a cut scene.

I don't think there is any order for anything you do right now on the boat.
Downstairs in the corridor where your cabin is at the end is a trap door, see if you have done enough to use that handle on the door. If so, turn and take the ladder, you know what to do with it.
Also, check the lounge and see if the bartender is asleep and get some keys off him.
Try those things and check every nook and even go back to your room too.

Status : Online | Well, I too am stuck on the boat. I did find the linen closet. The bartender hasn't gone to sleep. I have the handle and the stethscope as well. Nothing of interest in my room. Checked every wall on the boat to see if I could use the stethscope. I can't use the handle yet.
Any other clues Red or desperado? Really getting bored just walking around.

Status : Online | Ok. Got past the boat. And the key I missed there was in my room. A tricky to find hot spot.
I am now stuck in a storage room on the island. I think I am looking for a rope? I have a pipe and some metal things (2 of them). I used the mirror. I am not allowed to use the pipe thing.
Help!

Started writing about the trap door but you have done that right? The rope is back in the bottom of the boat (the boat you have come on) behind the locked gate and you should have a key for it.
You have done the safe etc.?
Did you get the beetle necklace from the curator on the boat? and the other keys from him and you need to combine the necklace with something in his room, bathroom.
Okay, let me know if this helps.
You saw the next room using the glass, now you need to get the key on the other side of the door so you can open the door to the next room after what's his face leaves it.

Did you go back and use them in the office and after go back down to the basement again?

Status : Online | thanks...got past the museum now im stuck on the boat. i read the previous notes and still havent figured it out. i found the trap door, the handle and the scope but i cant use any of them yet. the bartender is not sleeping and many of the doors i cant get in. HELP!!

On the boat if you are stuck. You likely are missing a hot spot in your room. It is difficult to find. I'll tell you it is in the bathroom. Once you find that the rest pretty much moves forward.
As for me:
Sounds like I am totally stuck. I got off the big boat. Took a small boat to an island. On the island I am in a storage room with rows of shelves with some artifacts on them. I am locked in this room. I have Flashlight, Hammer type thing, Hook type things(2), mirror (which I used in the hole), and a pipe like thing (which looks like it unlocks the 2nd door, but it won't let me yet).
Sounds like I am screwed because I didn't pick up the rope?
Yes, I did the trap door on the big boat, got through the locked gate in the lower part and saw the sarcophagus. Yes got into the safe. Then the boat docked at an island and I got off the big boat. I didn't get a necklace or do anything with it. I did get a ring that opened up a section in a suitcase. Had to use something from the bathroom to get the ring. I had a bunch of keys, and had access to every place in the boat.
EDIT:
I am fine! I got out of the locked area. Actually the hint about that I needed to get the key from the door helped. I didn't know that in some cases you could use documents! THANKS again Red.

Status : Online | i too am stuck in the wood shed on the island.i have the hammer, hook things (2), rope, gun, pipe, gas mask(?), and a box which i cannot get into. i searched the boat before i got off and i didnt see anyone. where do we get this necklace from the curator? and how the hack do i get out of this shed? by the way, thanks for help red and jezabel. if i find out anything ill be sure to pass on the info.

Status : Online | Ok. in the shed.. you do have in the inventory what you need. You just don't know you can use it . I gave a hint earlier. You can use a document in the document folder. You don't need the rope until later. Look down to help get through the door.
You'll get the necklace after a while. Not untill after the shed.
I myself got the necklace. I went back and saw the curator and got a LOT of things from him. Including an item that the others have apprently been looking for. The game actually told me to go back to the Curator a 2nd time.
I am stuck trying to get over the ropes(?) to get down to what looks like the dig. Yes, I once again avoided the 'bad guy' (after he made me go splat a few times.. fun stuff). I watched a cut sceen in the Shed (not quite sure what that was about yet, other than he is crazy and needs a chriopractor). I have only used the necklace 2x altho I think I should be using it 3x. And I also have this apparently locked box on me that I can't seem to do anything with. And a bar.
btw wingnutt.. you might want to check out the boat again. there is a bar type thing that you'll need to pick up. Not sure when it appears. And I haven't used it yet.
Dunno if I want a hint at this point. Taking a break for the night and will try to proceed tomorrow.. Ok, maybe a little hint.

Did you get the pulley or whatever it is called off the small boat and you have the rod. You need to open that box inventory, not do anything yet with it but open it with one of the keys and you will find the pulley.
Combine the rod inside the pulley and use at the hot spot and cut scene showing you going down.
Sorry, it is 5 in the morning and have to go to work hope I am not giving too much away.

What you are looking for is a thin one with a bit of a bend in it.
I can't remember if in that storage room you are in or back on the boat.
Check both places.
Beetle necklace, etc. from cabin on boat?

Status : Online | Not the big huge bar you found in the bottom of the big boat (the big bar acts like a combine item in the inventory, I haven't found what to combine it with yet, altho know I know ).
There is a small bar with a little crook in it. I am pretty sure you find this in the shed. You'd have to else you would be permamently stuck.
I know from when you first walk in there is something to the left hidden behind the barrels. But I think that is where the eye/hook things that you have. I don't recall where the bar was. Walk the room and look around again. You'll use this little bar to push out the key (when the paper is pushed UNDER the door) and the key falls onto the paper and you pull the paper back.
Mmmmm.. For me.. I haven't found a key to open up the box in my inventory yet. Guess that is what I am missing Red. Do you recall where that key was? I don't even remember where I found the box. hehe.
