Thanks guys! *dancing with sir funk*

I've had an upsetting summer, in beginning of July my dad got his doom by the doctor's and within a week he died. It was a complete and utter shock, when cancer goes unchecked these things happens. I had to deal with everything, emptying and closing his apartment, finish his business. Still doing that, actually. Bury him. It was an amazing funeral, the priest was riveting, and we had dressed dad's coffin with stuff that was close to him ourselves, my siblings and I. Put his boots right next to it, leaned a fishing rod on it, draped it with a fishnet and covered it with an old skin from a wild boar that dad was particularily proud of shooting decades ago. Everybody was in shock and cried almost uncontrollably, but it still became a very joyful occasion, can't put any better words on it.

I'm getting back to my old self, was totally happy that the AG forum restarted and have gotten my posting habits back there, LOL! Godfa... no I mean Tyler, has been hounding me in pm's there to get my butt back in here, so I figured I'd dive in here too!

Good to see you all, sometimes hanging on forums are more real than life, considering I don't share my adventuring interest with anybody IRL, sometimes life reminds you what's what.

*hugging everybody*

My deepest sympathies, Emma! Stories like yours are always awful to hear. I hope your father didn't suffer much. I can't imagine what you've been through but it's good to hear you and your family were able to hold the funeral the way you wanted it to be. It must be a big help in getting to terms with all this.

A big hug from me too!

P.S. Glad to see you back!
(Good one, TD, for hounding her back!

Deleted UserHey Emma! Are you going to the Sci-Fi convention this year too? I haven't decided yet, but it would be a cool opportunity to meet another forumite for real. (there's been a lot of that going on lately) We could get jiggy with Gollum!

Lurking?!

That's not allowed in here!

Post ahead....

Resistance is not futile, we're gonna win this thing, humankind is too good, we're not a bunch of under-achievers! We're gonna stand up, and we're gonna be human beings. We're going to get fired up about the real things, the things that matter! Creativity, and the dynamic human spirit that refuses to submit.

Deleted UserTD, since of your recent success, why don't you try bringing Cilla to talk. She's a BIG lurker of all time. I do want her to post here. Take that as a challenge. Well, if you refuse, it's also fine by me. Just a thought

I could bring her but I use my superhuman powers to bring members that I love....

It's October 25 and 26, the same place as last year. Guests are Andy Serkis (Gollum), Ray Park (Darth Maul in Star Wars Episode 1 and Toad in X-Men) and finally Richard Kiel (Classic Bond villain Jaws in The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker). There will also be special screenings of The Two Towers, Star Wars Episode 1 and The Spy Who Loved Me with a Q and A with the respective actors, just like last year with Blade Runner. They also have a Batmobile for exhibition.
