Status : Online | Thanks for the info, so this means that even though I have finished Gothic II, I will have start again with a new character?
Does that mean I have to play Gothic II over again or does that mean I have to have a new character to play the addon only?
Morrowind, my character has gone through two addons, no character switching at all.

Status : Online | I read the review. Well, that is okay, am willing to start over again because there will hopefully be a lot of new things and places with the addon.
It is a good game, much better than the first one which had tons of bugs so I will become whatever once more when the addon is released.
It really is like playing an entirely new game if I am reading the review correctly and things will have changed and will change as I move along again.

Sounds like playing Gothic 2 more than once is enjoyable, as once you pick a guild, many quests are then unavailable to you. I like the idea of playing first as a warrior type, then trying the usually harder mage path.
That which makes one happy is not a waste of time

| Deleted User | I'm glad that I haven't gotten far in Gothic 2. I just don't like restarting games without any reason but I think I'll wait for the English version of the expansion to come out and then play it again once more.

| Deleted User | I have nooo idea how long it's going to be. I think it's going to be a long wait? I hope not! Meanwhile, I get my hands on other games instead. Hope this strategy works (all the waiting...) if it doesn't I'll just play it and forget the expansion.

You will be going to a new area and there will be new characters besides the fact that the world you have just played will be different and you can always pick a different character for the addon I think.
If I hear anything, I will post. Gothic II is sitting on my desktop waiting and waiting.

Oh and apparently the Temple of Elemental Evil is being released early, on the 23rd of this month (in the US at least, not so sure about the UK).
AND Tron 2.0 and Jedi Academy are *finally* out next week here in blighty.

Status : Online | You are right, lots of adventure and non-adventure games coming, there is also Conspiracies, URU, Deus Ex II, maybe Black Mirror.
So how big are the characters in Temple? (no, not going to use initials). I look at the screenshots and not sure. I hate very tiny characters like in Icewind Dale type games.
