I tend to agree with many others. I think it's a quirk of the human mind to lock on to certain phrases that the observer either aspires to or sees in themselves, and it blocks out extranious information or interprets it in a certain way.

In other words, I totally agree with my test results... I AM the long-lost missing prince to the throne of Lithuania!   :

Of course it's crap... but it sure was accurate in very specific areas.

We can be heroes, just for one day.

That's fascinating, Wolfboy! I knew being a psychic was a sleazy business, but I never knew how severe it really was!

Wolfboy

Well the more people with inside information reveal the secrets, the better.  It never ceases to amaze me how people believe in soothsayers.

My nephew now, took a job in MacDonalds and has now sworn off ever eating in such a place for the rest of his life.   I'm too scared to ask......

Wolfboy,
You worked for a psychic hotline?
Thats pretty wild,
and interesting, how did you manage that? An add in the paper?

Don't suppose you'd care to give me tomorrow's stock quotes, or anything like that?  :

Can't answer for Wolfboy, but I remember seeing an ad in the paper a year or two ago to fill a position at a psychic hotline. Really cements all feelings that this is a completely legitimate enterprise, no?  :

Excerpt from a Banff wildlife guide...&&&&Hikers are advised to wear bells on their clothing when in bear country. The bells warn away MOST bears... the bells have proven to be somewhat ineffective in preventing confrontations with Grizzly bears. Hikers should carefully watch the trail for animal droppings, which would indicate that a bear is in the vicinity. Be alert for the droppings of Grizzly bears, which can easily be distinguished by the bells they contain.

Not at all accurate for me, really dislike some of those colours too
. Guess you really just have to take it as a bit of fun.

Now that's scary, I'm glad I never eat there anyway.

Yup, advert in the paper. I found out that anyone who turned up for an interview was accepted, no questions asked. I heard stories of one guy, an alcoholic who was unable to hold down work because he was constantly drunk while on the clock, getting work there.
Still, everyone was accepted. The staff treat the employees horribly. I was threatened, and I seen other employees being sexually harassed. Not the best work environment. That's why, if you look in the paper every four months or so, they do a whole new recruitment drive. Massive turnout. Horrible pay - the 'psychics' make minimum wage, the cost for the call goes to the company so if you do a 'reading' for a caller that lasts an hour, you get £4.30 or so, and the company makes over £90 from the caller.

Thing is, after I left, I did some reading and found out that this type of buisness is completely legal! Apparantly, they're under a loophole that allows them to be listed as an 'entertainment' industry, like a sex line, instead of a helpline like the callers would actually benefit from. So they're perfectly entitled to take people's money and give them phoney 'psychic' readings, or worse, potentially dangerous advice.

So if you guys know anyone that calls those lines, my advice is to tell them to stay clear.

I think all those sorts of phone-in lines are a big rip-off. I've heard of kids ringing them over and over again when parents are out and racking up humungous phone bills. Doesn't seem any way to stop them though other than for people with kids or perhaps boarders in the house, putting a block on outgoing calls - think there is some sort of bar that you can get.

Deleted UserAn interesting quiz, which I think I've seen before. Anyhow:
Sensuous. Inclined to luxuriate in things which give gratification to the senses, but rejects anything tasteless, vulgar, or coarse.
Wishes to be independent, unhampered, and free from any limitation or restriction, other than those which he imposes of himself or by his own choice and decision.
Willing to participate and to allow himself to become involved, but tries to fend off conflict and disturbance in order to reduce tension.
Believes that he is not receiving his share--that he is neither properly understood nor adequately appreciated. Feels that he is being compelled to conform, and close relationships leave him without any sense of emotional involvement.
His need to feel more causative and to have a wider sphere of influence makes him restless and he is driven by his desires and hopes. May try to spread his activities over too wide a field.
Feels restricted and prevented from progressing; seeking a solution which will remove these limitations.

Hmm. I suppose some of it is correct. The rest is bilge.
