There are a few adventure games i have that I've never played few, just a couple though.

Necronomicon - I didn't like it much, I might try and finish it.  I got through the dark lab...after that my fun (is that what I'd call it?) went to crap.

Road to India - The time it took once you click to go to a differnt screen was WAY too long, i had no patience with it.

Traitors Gate - I don't know...it was just VERY static I suppose

Stupid Invaders - I guess I just lost interest, I would like to finish it though.

Myst III - I don't know, I guess I got sick of it.

Myst games are like apples; their good after a few bites, but then they begin to rot even before you finish.

Only a few for me - I almost always try to finish a game.

The Daedalus Encounter - Just plain bad.
AITD4 - The New Nightmare - Ugly interface and graphics.
Out of This World -  Interesting concept, bad game.

What?

I got an animation bug in Riven that was a show-stopper too.  I had to put it away for months, but managed to finish it with the next computer I got.

MYST 3 - got bored, even with a walkthrough.
Discworld - I'm still playing this one years after I bought it.  I will finish it one day, though.  Yes...  I...  will...

Er...  that's it, and one of them doesn't really count.  I didn't finish Black + White either because of boredom, but that's not an adventure game.

Atlantis - Got killed about 40 times in the Red cockerel, until I gave up.

Beyond Atlantis - Got the idea after playing Irealnd and half into Inca.

Starship Titanic - didn't have a clue as to what am I supposed to be doing there.

Relentless (aka Little Big Adventure 1 aka Twinsen's Adventure)     I kept getting killed and Relentless has the worst excuse for a save games system I've ever seen.

The Last Express    I never got used to the "turn back time instead of save your game" system. I'll probably go back to the game some day, but I'm in no hurry.

Unreal     boring as #&$@!  Not worth my time. Anyone who wants it can have it for cost of postage.

Armand, you gotta finish Stupid Invaders.  I love that game.  The artwork and "toilet" humour is radical.  GO finish it now...

My list is neverending

GK1&3,
Bureau13
Last Express
Amerzone
Discworld Noir
Dark Eye
Mission Critical
Armed and Delirious
Inlandaz
AITD4 - The New Nightmare - Ugly interface and graphics.
 Roger on that...
Rama

There's more but those are the majority...

Temujin: The game has a lot of potential, but frustrating control and lack of clues on what to do made me drop the game.

The Last Express: Not being sure when to move on in the game was a turnoff from the beginning. The overall game concept is interesting so I'll know I'll give it a decent chance sometime.

Jewels of the Oracle: I have completed this, but I had to decline four or five puzzles (playing on the hard setting). I've heard there is a better ending, which might give me incentive to pick it up.

Xiama: I'm about halfway through this game, but the turtle puzzles and couple of the Eleusis games are killing me.

I just got Riddle of the Sphinx off the list: I got tired of searching for one or two missing items lurking in a corner somewhere and had put that aside for a few months.

For the most part, it's the ones with some action element that I can not finish - I hit a point where it becomes tedious and boring.

Alone in the Dark 3, Redguard, Blair Witch 2 and The New Adventures of the Time Machine

The exceptions to the above are:

The Last Express - found it boring from the beginning.

Of Light and Darkness - couldn't figure out the point of the game at all.

The Space Bar - hit a point where a formula had to be developed and just couldn't do it.

DogDay - had to play and win at Pac Man to finish the game.

Aaaahh!!
You can't possibly say that! It's one of the greatest games ever!

Temujin: The game has a lot of potential, but frustrating control and lack of clues on what to do made me drop the game.

Yep!

A lot of people didn't finish The Last Express. I urge you to try it again; trust me, you'll never forget this game after its ending.

I totally agree with Rael that everyone should give Last Express a chance. It's my favorite game of all time because it is so innovative, has an amazing story, and the possibilities are endless so you can play it again and again and get a different experience every time. Trust me, it's worth giving the different interface a chance because this is a game you will never forget.

You can finish games now?

This is news to me. It'd be quicker to list games that I've actually finished
But then, I play games to see how much I enjoy it, not just to finish them. Sometimes takes me hours to finish a game, sometimes months.

I have two on my hard drive that are SCREAMING to be finished... Anachronox and Outcast.  But, it's been so long since I played that I'm clueless about what to do nex in either title.  Both are far too good to uninstall, so I may just have to start over :-)

Well, I don't know where you are in Anachronox but I have played it two times so far.  It is funny, good game play and love all the characters.

I dunno your system specs, or how you played the game, but if it's of any interest, I ripped my cds and used a virtual drive to mount the images and play the game, thinking it would be faster, and I could avoid cd swapping.  Exactly what you describe happened to me.  I got rid of the ripped images, and played with the cds; I zipped along from one spot to the next without a problem.  I dunno, it doesn't make sense to me either, but thought I'd share.

The only one on my list is The 11th Hour.  It made me feel stupid. I got mad at it, and made it go stand in the corner.  I was most infuriated with that idiotic mousetrap game.  It's actually not idiotic; I found it fascinating.  I just don't like losing to Stauf 51 times in a row.
That number is not an exaggeration.  I tried 50 times, then threw in the last one for "good luck".  I should know by now that I have none.)

However, I'll be getting back to that one shortly, definitely before the end of the year
I'm too anal to leave a book, movie, or game unfinished.  It... irks me.

Of Light and Darkness -  Still have it loaded but to stuck to play.

Maniac Mansion - Have to play that again. It was one of my first adventures and I couldn't finish it.

Myst - got stuck on some musical riddle

Some non-Adventure games spring to mind:

Baldur's Gate 2 - this one got boring towards the end, I intended to buy the addon, but I never played BG2 to the finale so I didn't *g*

Neverwinter Nights - the main product is somehow boring, perhaps I will play some modules

Morrowind - wow, huge game...must be interesting...no, it isn't -> downright boring game

Wizardry 8 - I don't know, just bored me

Unreal - cause of a bug on my older system I couldn't play any further as the sixth mission. tried again and it got boring halfway through.

If I listed them all it might be a prettu long list. Here are some highlights:

Omikron: The Nomad Soul.      Couldn't stand the changes in game style. Mostly its adventure but at certain points it becomes a FPS or a Mortal Kombat type fighting game. I don't mind action adventures, but this was something else.

Outcast.         I actually meant to finish this one. It got unistalled by accident and now, no matter what I try I can't get the game to work. It installs okay and then the whole  mysterious vanishes from the computer before I can play it.

Shadow of the Comet.    Couldn't come to grips with the control system. Sad, because plot-wise it looked like a good game.

Some people are like a slinky. They might not be good for anything, but its fun to watch them tumble down stairs. &&

Deleted UserCasanove. Too many graphic  angels. Gets into my nerve.

Rhem. It's depressing. I tried to force myself into playing it but I really can't!

Torment It was a great great game but somehow I got stuck a couple of times and it has a long story line.

McGee's Alice. It was so hard to fight the centipede and my fingers hurt pressing the keyboard in a long hour duration

Morrowind.Lost interest. It wasn't that interesting for me.

Alcatraz Another boring game

I don't understand why, but near the ending, this game would always lock up. Specifically, it was in a scene with a giant lizard. I tried it at least on three different PC's but always the same problem. Perhaps, my version needed a patch or something...

Chronomaster
Oh man, I regret this one so much. I had a nasty problem with my computer and lost all the savegames. It also was near the ending so I was too lazy at the moment to start it all over again. But I will finish it someday. The best sci-fi adventure I've ever played hands down.
