Anyway back on topic:
1. Monkey Island 2 2. Syberia 3. Syberia 2 4. GK 2: Beast Within (£10 at a car boot sale ) 5. The Longest Journey
Most of them modern unfortunatly! Graphics boy ere!

That's a very, very good idea. I should do something like that to help me avoid the temptation of getting help too soon with a game. Start an adventure, unplug the cable modem, and toss it out the door.

Its not the winning the losing or the taking part that counts. Its the way you cheat.

Status : Offline | Hmm.. for some reason I didn't post in this thread back in Nov. 2002 - don't remember seeing this one, though I'm pretty sure there was a thread about our top 10 games!
Anyway mine are (I think!)
1. Gabriel Knight 2 2. Gabriel Knight 3 3. Gabriel Knight 1 4, Tex Murphy - Pandora Directive 5. Well I guess a toss-up between several - i.e. Grim Fandango, Spycraft, TLJ, Discworld Noir. In other words I don't really know.

I think the very first thread I posted in was a thread on top twenties of favourite adventure games. Must have been a bit more than a year ago. I'm sure Romnut can bring that one up again on her way through all these past threads.
Anyway, my top 5 would be something like this:
1. Gabriel Knight 3 2. Gabriel Knight 2 3. Leisure Suit Larry 3 4. King's Quest 6 5. The Longest Journey

1. Day of the Tentacle 2. Monkey Island II 3. Tex Murphy : Pandora Directive 4. Grim Fandango 5. The Guild of Thieves -Magnetic Scrolls
Although there are alot of good text games that come close. Almost anything from Level 9,Magnetic Scrolls or Infocom could have made the list.
