Check Dark Fall. IIRC you liked ghosts, so you might love this game.

Definitely Dark Fall. You may also enjoy A quiet Weekend in Capri. There are several other decent games that have come out, but this Fall looks like we'll have a bumper crop!
For several good ones in production - check out The Adventure Company site as well as Harriet's Upcoming releases and many threads on this section of the forum.
Have you played Syberia?
You have a lot of catching up to do.
Still adventuring after all these years!

What about Post Mortem, Runaway. Do you play Nancy Drew?
Well, welcome back. So, did you rebuild your old computer or get a new one?
How you went so long without your computer and stayed sane (well, I think you stayed sane) is amazing

So far as games are concerned the ones I would have suggested have already been mentioned i.e. Syberia and Post Mortem.

Status : Online | Okies, so I'm to look for Post Mortem, Quiet Weekend In Capri, Runaway, and Dark Fall. I've done all the rest already. Sounds like it's been quite a year.
Yup, played Syberia about a year ago. Very enjoyable, although I preffer horror and fantasy ones. Speaking of which, a few months ago I found a demo on an old, old disk of an adventure game that had a very tribal feeling.. Your character was part of an (aborigional?) tribe, and the overall quest was something to do with an intertribal war. I can't remember it's name, but I wish I could find a full version.
Six months without computer access at all, seems a lot longer. Took about four months to get one set up, and the rest to get it upgraded and re-setted to my typical style.
Let's see, I'm going back to college in a few weeks (hopefully, still not confirmed), and am actually considering setting up my own DJ buisness, simply because I've realised that having an actual employer is no fun.

Too bad it was not released yet. :-/
If you like scary games, I suspect you will want to buy this game when it hit the stores.

Status : Online | Hey Wolfboy! The only recent adventures I played are Runaway and Mystery of the Mummy. Runaway will be released in the rest of the world sometime this century...it's a nice little 2d-adventure with superb graphics. Mystery of the Mummy is the latest Sherlock game. Quite a few people say it's not very good, but I really liked it. Despite some extreme pixel-hunting and another version of the gruesome fish-the-key-from-under-the-doorway AND 2 slider puzzles... *sigh*
playing: Destination Treasure Island (done in two sittings, but it's nice), Syberia (ho-hum), Dracula: Last Sanctuary (on hold)&&reading: even more study papers&&listening to: this and that, plus Musicovery&&TV favorites: (currently) Pushing Daisies, Chuck, Journeyman (cancelled! grrr...), Heroes&& all-time) 24, Stargate SG1, X-Files, Lost, House

Welcome back!

I remember you. Welcome back.
You have missed out on a lot of games but they are still available and you can catch up. And there are tons of games that sound GREAT in development. One that I am especially interested in is Jack the Ripper from the Adventure Company/DreamCatcher.
So many game/so little time.

Sorry Wolfboy, but what you experienced really can't be forgotten :-/. I remember a great story when I read one. That was totally scary!

Yup, got a copy of it in my journel. It's quite old though, but still... I can PM it to anyone that wants, don't want to clutter up the board.
So far I'm going to keep an eye out for Black Mirror, Port Mortem, Crystal Key, Dark Fall, Jack The Ripper, The Messender, Runaway, Weekend in Capri, and Schism (Mysterious Journey)... Boy, that's a lot! What is this, a new golden era?

And, you will never be forgotten for posting that sister and her boyfriend goth-pic! how are they doing anyway?!
You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Speaking of scared, my sister is still with her boyfriend. A few weeks ago, he moved in. And since then, I've been looking for accomodation at college. I mean, this is a guy that leaves black makeup inside the shower when he washes! ???
