I was feeling like I was losing my identity. That my virtual being was beginning to have a life of its own. I barely recognized me every time I looked in the mirror. All I was seeing was a red face with white-big-nasty fangs. People looking funny at me. A living hell.

Actually, I grew tired of the nickname.

I know what you're talking about. Been thinking about slaughtering the cow for a long time.

I barely recognized me every time I looked in the mirror. All I was seeing was a red face with white-big-nasty fangs. People looking funny at me. A living hell.

But yet you kept the avatar ???

...or perhaps it's in the meaning of your name?

Majestic dignity; grandeur.

'Grandeur'? LOL!

Yes, I kept the avatar but will change it soon. I did this so that people would recognize me.

senne, I prefer "Agus"

Oh yes! Please change it, please do! Your avatar is really getting on my nerves. If only you knew the effect it has on me... but I could never explain. We humans like to think we're all cortexy-smart and rational-brainy, but the truth is that we're just as easy to condition as Pavlov's dogs.

Ahh! Agustin. From now on we can never refer to you as Rael! That will be a little strange. What was Rael about anyway? Was that a nick people referred to you as outside the forum too?

Actually that's basically the reason why I went from a somewhat unknown cartoon character...ahem :
...to just me. Wasn't really a big change, only cut the last part. Felt like I wasn't really identifying with the character, and also got bored.

The Lamb Lies on the Broadway album, Genesis, 1974 I believe.

Well... your avatar certainly looks cuter than Agustin's

Well, if you were getting to the point that salava was spilling down the corners of your mouth as does your avatar, maybe it is time to change but personally it will be very hard to get use to Agustin (sounds you are trying for Sainthood) and isn't Agus a breed of a bull or cow
no wait, that is Angus, close though.

Sounds like the avatar needs to be changed not your name.  Are you having some sort of identity crisis. People are now calling  'Hey You' instead of Rael?

Deleted UserI always asumed he was referring to Claude Vorilhon, who took the name Rael when he founded a nutcake UFO religion.

Not too familiar with them, though I know what you mean.

No need to. I don't think anyone has uglier avatar than Rael

Heard about her, yes. Like the other Jessica better

Deleted UserWell, as an impartial and often ignored bystander, let me just say I grew found of the blue eyes and red blotchy skin, but whatever you have to do for yourself is ok with me, Agustin.

Maybe I should stop twirling around myself? Now see what you’ve done ex-rael – you’ve sprouted a whole domino effect of identity crisis! Argh!!!

***edit for spelling of your new name***

Only one of the BEST albums ever, but Rael... er Agustin,
I never knew that was why you used the name.

But I did know you had exquisite taste in music.

oh that's right.  just when I'm getting used to being spied on.  Sent shivers down me the first few days, that eye did.  Now you say you're going to change again!  Well pick something nice this time.

Wouldn't it be nice if we had tiny pics of our faces instead?  Feel almost like having a real conversation.  Might put a stop to the flaming that goes on.

As for Agustin or Agus, see, I knew I was doing it right always being me.

LOL!

Betje, I'll change my avatar then
Sorry Daryl - ladies first!

Gayle, that's the reason why I don't like my name
I'm no saint! Still, I prefer using it instead of a nickname. Just a change of thought, who knows?

Gamer, I still remember you saw Genesis live. And I still hate you

Hey, you can still call me Rael. Or Raelagus. Or whatever you like.

Deleted UserWell be sure you get full approval for all your fashions and avatar before you walk down the ramp. J/k…I think I learned that from Senne?

God is this a full fledged makeover? I hope you sold the rights!

Don't look for a saint here. It is like looking for a Christian in a church.

Deleted UserI saw the "Invisible Touch" concert in KC.  Eighth row center...and the folks who had the tickets for the seats in front of us didn't show up.  Best seats I've ever had for a concert.  But only a little better than my 9th row seats for Floyd.  and my 13th row seats for The Who.  muahahahahaha

I saw Genesis twice in a 6 month period back in the early 70's. When they still had Peter Gabriel and he was shaving a stripe down the center of his head. Don't remember the album but they did the exact same show both times. They were in small venues and both times I was only 3 or 4 rows from the stage. I liked Van Der Graf Generator better though.
