Which your favorite song...from your country?

The best Greek song IMO is "kakes sinithies" by Pasxalidis!

You can find it in Kazaa

Aya can verify how good the song is if he isn't busy on something or on someone else :'(

Resistance is not futile, we're gonna win this thing, humankind is too good, we're not a bunch of under-achievers! We're gonna stand up, and we're gonna be human beings. We're going to get fired up about the real things, the things that matter! Creativity, and the dynamic human spirit that refuses to submit.

There are so many songs I like... but I do love Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. In a recent poll it was voted the best song of all time, which might be just slightly over the top.

Well I'm not falling for this.  I don't care for contemporary Aussie music although Shout! comes to mind as a great song.

If I listed my favourites you'd lock me away in an looney bin.  Absolutely no one admits to even KNOWING the kind of music I like, let alone listening to it.

My favourite band has got to be Dire Straits or Gerry Rafferty - but I like so many different jazz musicians as well ...

Excellent track Anne - I've been a big ELO fan for years , I'd have to say that Discovery was one of their best albums - Out of the Blue ia also a classic ...

There are just too many good songs to only choose one.

Friday: I've listened to all the songs but I think I still liked that particular song. Now I have loads of SA songs in my mp3

LOL, I could never dream that someone here would like SA. Thanx Sarah :-*

Right now I'm listening to "Omen Sinistrum" by SA. It's one of the tracks I've kept repeating the last days.

If had to chose a Swedish song It'd an Opeth track, it's hard to decide, maybe The Moor, Black rose immortal or Wreath.

Seems like Sarah deleted her post or something (maybe the apocalypse bug)?

Frankly speaking, I don't listen to local songs that much.
But I do listen to one particular artist. The song is entitled " Bukan Cinta Biasa" by Siti Nurhaliza. I'd listen to this once in several months.

Take a peek.

Friday, it's my pleasure :-*. I ranted too much in there so I had to delete it. This is a new one.

I hate German songs.

Must it have a German text or just come from a German artist?

No problem, I'm with you.

Basically. There are artists and bands nobody knows who can make great music.
Some bands:
Guano Apes, Rammstein, Theatre of Tragedy. Helloween...well, I don't like their kind of metal too much, but they had a great singer.

Except Rammstein, these are mostly English lyrics.
I wonder whether people notice how strange Rammstein's lyrics are or not...

I'm thinking...I don't know many Dutch bands.
Krezip is the only one which comes to mind right now.

And aren't they awful ......!
They're all so boring or very unoriginal! Probably there will be some good but obscure bands around. I just can't find the time to keep track of them.

At the moment we are being plagued by the results of our version of Idols. A medicore winner who has trouble singing and a number two who really can't sing. (***sigh***)

Hehe, right...our so-called Superstars are unheard of already. Although the first two have very good voices. But there is another star casting going on as I speak. It just never stops...

But I used to like Krezip for a while. They sound a bit like Guano Apes (the female lead singer has a beautiful voice if she wants to) or Die Happy (another German band), but softer. The sort of crossover music tends to become boring after a short time.

Deleted UserCountry music isn't near the top of my list, but I just watched a thought provoking video by Kenny Rogers called, 'I'm missing you'. Nice tribute to those still serving their countries in Iraq.

What's wrong with German music? You just haven't heard the right bands.

I like Brittish music the most.

Favorite song from the USA: Maybelle, by Ida, from their album Will You Find Me.

Also, Movie, by His Name Is Alive, from Stars on E.S.P.

I guess it's a tie. Don't listen to many native bands but Ida and HNIA are definite faves.

Yes, they are. Wind of change must be their single most popular song. I don't like them much anyway.
