Now I have the money to buy pretty much any game I want, only I don't have the time to play them anymore. Regardless of this damnable Forum

Status : Online | I hate it when this happens! It doesn't even matter what it is, if it's a game or a book or anything, it's really annoying. I'm waiting to get money to be able to order Discworld Noir online, and if it's gone by the time I get the money (around next week I hope) then I'll probably scream and drive everyone mad.
This happened to me before with a book, it was pretty cheep and I just didn't have the money and kept seeing it in stores for weeks until I got the money and then of course it was gone. I did manage to get the book later for a slightly higher price (which was still on discount), this is so annoying!!!

Status : Online | Funny ain't it... ten years ago I had all the time in the world and I always had month left at the end of my money. Now I have money left at the end of the month, but hardly any time to spare, actually having to make time for playing a game (either that or having a life, which has it pros).
Where is that wonderful and beautifull woman, with a good sense of humor, in her late twenties, who enjoys watching movies and playing (computer) games. Application letters can be sent to my private mail adress
It'll solve two of my problems: having money left and a definite end of my social life
Playing: World of Warcraft / Monkey Island SE&&Reading: Worldwar: Upsetting the Balance - Harry Turtledove&&Watching: Repo! The Genetic Opera

I'm somewhat glad that I'm european at this time. Would be painful for me to live 'over there' and have tons of great offers.

| Deleted User | I do know how you feel Friday. I'm a poor student and all I'm doing now is finishing the games that I didn't finish cause I felt it kinda sucked.
I went to a computer store and sometimes after waiting a while, the cheap games were sold out( why did they had to buy the games that I wanted to buy!!)
But I really can't wait to start working in a couple of months time! I don't care what job I get temporarily, all I want is to buy all the games that I couldn't buy now.

You want to buy one your whole life, but by the time you can actually afford to buy one you're retired and don't have the same reflexes to really enjoy the experience. That doesn't stop all the elderly gentlemen and ladies out there from trying though!
Now I got a nice stash of (unopened) games sitting in my apartment staring at me while I go work another 70 hour week.

But, keep looking on the bright side, for every missed chance, there's a lucky purchase. You might miss something now, but you might find it even cheaper in the near future.
I especially have a problem with coughing up the full price for new games (50 euros is a lot of money for one game). Normally I wait for it to drop in price or for a budget rerelease, but since adventure games are sometimes, a rerelease doesn't always happen.

Thank goodness I quit one of my jobs last year so that I no longer work ANY 60-70 hour weeks! I don't understand how I did it for so many years. Still haven't fully recovered.  on't burn yourself out like I did lakerz!
Still adventuring after all these years!
Patiently awaiting The Last Crown: Haunting of Hallowed Isle, and Bracken Tor...

I've rarely paid the full retail price on a game, and when I did, it was always after walking around and gritting my teeth wondering if I really could part with the cash, then looking over the box just one more time, then finally walking up to the counter and laying down entirely too much money.
Come to think of it, I've gone through that same ritual with the used and budget games, too.
This week, I have been mostly playing

It's called Little Big Adventure in Europe, shouldn't be too hard to find used, not the rerelese anyway. If you're really desperate you could import Relentless from that big country in the west.

Is it only me who has the idea that suddenly, somewhere in this year, the prices of new computergames rose with 5 - 10 euro?
At the end of 2002/beginning 2003 a new AG would be about 41/42 euro. Now 46 or indeed 50 (as Wimli stated) seems to be a reasonable price. It's ridiculous. I still haven't bought Runaway for that reason (and because I'm really annoyed that it took so long to get released. Yes, I'm punishing someone, don't know who, but I am, really!). It makes me wait for some games to get cheaper. And anyone who knows me, knows I'm not one to sit and wait. It goes against my nature .
