We actually had a copy of Runaway a year ago that was totally playable with English subtitles - though we were not supposed to tell anyone at the time. I would imagine that there is no reason why a demo with subtitles could not have and maybe was released.
I really think certain parties have done a horrible job of marketing this game. I really hope Try Synergy picks up the ball and has a huge hit on their hands. THey have some new people in their marketing department that seem determined to have Runaway be a hit, despite the best efforts of various European publishers to bury this game.

Status : Online | Randy, you don't mean the German publisher, do you? They did an excellent job with the marketing, I don't know an adventure that was published smarter than Runaway here. For those who understand German I wrote an article on their marketing here.

The game itself runs perfectly under XP, so you don't have to worry about that.

The 'English' demo works beautifully on Windows-XP.
Have you downloaded (free) "truemotion-codec.exe" from the Net ?
Without that it WON'T work!

i heard italian speech and it's terrible so i'm actually thinkin of buying the game in english

Italian is indeed a most beautiful language (not that I understand it unfortunately!!) ... although Spanish sounds very nice also!
I hadn't started playing that demo when I thought it was Spanish (since I have a feeling that the Italian version had only just been released!)

The English demo is longer & fuller than most ... consisting of a full chapter (not the longest or the shortest I believe!).
Both the German & Italian demos are indeed from 2 different chapters, but only the very short beginnings of each! :

Status : Online | I don't know about you, but I try to avoid playing most of a game before I buy it. The only exception has been Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, but I had been playing that somewhat sporadically in my dorm neighbor's room.
