Just finished Syberia. Nice Graphics and story. However it was far  to easy and short.
Not sure whether I like the ending or not seem abit abrupt.

Currently playing The Longest Journey. Just stepped through the looking glass. Thourougly enjoying it so far some bits have been abit akward (the bit with the inflatable duck some rope and clamps come to mind)
Dear Diary, My teenage angst bullsh*t now has a bodycount.

Just finished Discworld 1 - think I've said this before, but it sure isn't an easy game, Discworld Noir is a breeze in comparison!.

Was going to install Post Mortem last night (bought it last Saturday).  Well I hadn't even opened the box and guess what  -  NO DISK INSIDE! Grrrrrr.   Luckily it was late night shopping (Thurs. night) and I had the receipt so rang and told the manager, all the while thinking "Oh my God, he won't believe this". Anyway he looked under the counter and said the disk was there - whew! Going to collect it this morning (too far away from us to be bothered going in last night)  Think it was the only copy they had (certainly on the shelf anyway) and was half price!

Discworld Noir
Loving the atmosphere-I read somewhere there is a crash in the middle of the game-hope it ain't true!
Next to be installed on my HD: Syberia + Post Mortem

Deleted UserAlready played every adventure game worth playing that's been released in the last year or two.  Just finished Broken Sword 1.  Currently playing Pilgrim.  Got Feeble Files on the way in the mail.  That should hold me until the US re-release of Dark Fall.

Little Feeble is enough to keep you busy until Christmas!

Good cycle, Citizen.

Funny, I'm playing Broken Sword I right now, and I think the second one's better! (I liked the settings in BS2 more, and I think the writing- especially the humor- was better.)

Other games I'm actively playing:

 • Morrowind (PC) - currently having fun with mods!
 • Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (GBA) - a great action RPG on GameBoy Advance.

I have just played through the first level of CSI, and I think I'm going to enjoy this one.
I like the idea of multiple cases instead of just one big story. Now I can keep this one for when I'm stuck in some other game and don't want to start another big adventurte just yet. Sort of an inbetweener

Hey Grimace, which mods have you tried in Morrowind?  Find anything especially good yet?  I've tried some smaller mods...a couple that give you houses of your own, and one that turns books on end...have you tried any of the ones offering quests?
That which makes one happy is not a waste of time

I played a bit more Space Quest 0: Replicated and I'm now stuck at 80 something points.

Well, the moment has finally come:
I'm playing The Longest Journey for the first time!
And I'm playing the English version, not the German.
Played a while yesterday up to the first appearance of Emma. So far, it's nice. I didn't like the prologue. All the fuss about the sprits and it's soooo impossible to help us, blablabla, it was a breeze of course. But that was just a crazy dream, it's ok.
I like April's style so far. Some funny lines right in the beginning. I think I'm a bit afraid of the story turning into other dimension cause I like the reality touch up until now. But let's see.

playing: Destination Treasure Island (done in two sittings, but it's nice), Syberia (ho-hum), Dracula: Last Sanctuary (on hold)&&reading: even more study papers&&listening to: this and that, plus Musicovery&&TV favorites: (currently) Pushing Daisies, Chuck, Journeyman (cancelled! grrr...), Heroes&&
all-time) 24, Stargate SG1, X-Files, Lost, House

I've just installed Post Mortem.
on't know how I'll find it.  I've read the requests for help and most players don't actually enjoy the game

Also got Black Dahlia but it's a big game 8 discs.  I have GK sins of the fathers and beast within.  Is that 1 & 2 everyone talks about.  I must install them.

Started Post Mortem yesterday but only played for about half and hour or so. Like the atmosphere so far but not really sure what to do - well solve the murders of course - but just feeling my way slowly and trying to find out how much difference it makes to the game by choosing different conversation threads and hoping it's not one of those games where you can't progress if you choose the wrong one!

Black Dahlia is I think a good game, but probably one of the hardest, I keep telling myself I'll play it again one day but thinking about all those hard puzzles sort of puts me off.

Caroline all the GK games are good but everyone has different opinions as to which is best - I think GK2 but that could be because I played it first.

I recently replayed KQ2+VGA with the additional voice pack. Truly Excelent experience!!

That made me want to play another KQ game. So now I am replaying KQ5 CD version. I never actually finished that game (I got the "out of heap space" error). Luckily, I was able to find a saved game that fixes this problem. Now I am playing KQ5 again!! Fun game... if you desconsider the awful amount of dead ends. >

KQ5 is a game no one should play without a walkthrough!

Funny you should ask- I just started a topic about this in the Other Games board. I haven't done any of the quest mods yet. The best ones I've downloaded are Atmospheric Sound Effects and Water Nymphs And Other Creatures. Both of them add elements of environmental realism that the game had been lacking. I've also made a mod to give me rings and amulets with sweet abilities for when I'm too lazy to run around a mountain or pick a lock.

Last night I finally started playing Posel Smrti aka Black Mirror. I thought I'd play it on my vacation but it has some sort of copy protection which is so advanced that it won't run at all on my brother's PC. Fortunately it works fine on mine...

I only played it for about 20 minutes, looking good so far. Quality graphics, music and voiceovers.
I forgot my sig.

I am very jealous Michal!  I have been waiting for the English release for months.  They keep saying "in a month or two".

Let us know your further impressions, please.

I finished Syberia yesterday. It's ok, but not as good as all the hype has made me believe it would be. :-/

I started Schizm yesterday, but it already seems like it's not going to be a favourite of mine. The acting is just awful. Well, we'll see, maybe things improve further on. I think today I'll start with Dark Fall instead.

don't know yet how to put quotes into my posts..... (help appreciated)

The makers of Schizm should be punished severely.  Get a walkthrough so that when you get stuck you don't waste time trying to work out what the hell to do next.

Some scenery is wonderful but there's a lot of sailing back and forth.  Number 2 is due out later this year.  Hope they don't pull the same stunt about pc and dvd games.  I bought the pc version only to discover that the laptops in the game only play the messages in the dvd version.

I don't care how good the pre-release publicity is (I believed the box last time) I'll wait until Daryl has played it and see what he thinks.    Same deal for Crystal Key 2.  God that was a stinker of a game.

Adventuredog,
let me know what you think of Rhem.  It sounds good but I can't find a trace of it anywhere out here.

I finally got around to finishing Post Mortem. It was an okay game but I feel the rather interesting story could have been explored much more - but I guess that's the price for non-linearity....
I'm just getting started with Shadows of Memories and am trying to get used to the annoying voice of the protagonist.

Just click on the 'quote' button on the top of the post you want to quote from. That post will then be included in your post.

Don't need to buy it. There's a walkthrough on Just Adventure!

Didn't know there was a difference between the dvd and cd version. That sounds really unfair on the developer's part. Shame on them! >
At least I was lucky enough to get the dvd version. Don't know yet whether that's a blessing or not yet as it means you get more scenes with some of the most horrible acting performances I've ever seen. :-/

But as I said, I've put the game aside for now. I still have some other games I recently picked up.
Among them is this little game called Riven.
