I've been looking over various reviews for this game, and haven't been able to decide if it's worth $30 or not. Most reviewers agree it's an interesting idea and provides some thrills trying to get in and out of computer systems in time, but the interface is rough at times and you can't save your game before trying something risky -- one mistake and you're done. (Hmm...maybe I answered my own question.) Anyway, has anyone here played this game and what did you think of it?

I only played the demo. I thought it was rather nice. Prehaps download it and think for yourself?

I have played it, and it is worth the money (my opinion), the demo should give you a good idea of the game.
There's a way around being unable to save by the way, just back-up the player data and restore if something goes wrong!

I hadn't heard of it, but after doing a brief websearch for a description, I'm sold.  Sounds very unique. I'm hoping it's like Thief without weapons.
That which makes one happy is not a waste of time

Deleted UserI didnt really care for it so much.  The thing is, once you figure out how to do one of the assignments (Copy a file, delete a file, etc.) all of the assignments become the same until you reach a new level of identical assignments (investigate bank fraud, change education record). But what really buggered me was that there are so few assignments, and they are added so very infrequently.  seriously, when you get in the groove of it you can take out like nine, ten assignments in a game day, you go back to the board, and there arent any more.  You have to wait like a week or two for a new assignment.  I imagine this was meant to encourage the players to discover other ways of entertaining themselves, such as robbing a bank, screwing around with govt servers, taking down an entire corporate database, etc., but the equipment you need to accomplish any of these is monstrously expensive and, as a result, you end up having to wait several days just to get more assignments so you can afford the software/hard necessary to do such things.
Im told there's some kind of storyline there if you play long enough, but I never found one.
