As for the sequel, I have no idea what they're going to call it.

The box and title just do not match the game itself...terrible packaging and name....but the game is WONDERFUL, i promise.

knife? no.. the ending i got was solemn.. i saved before the end and tried different outcomes but only found two...awful and solemn..the solemn one was good...but no knife...i think i need to replay it! I want to replay it anyway, as I only learned later that maxing intelligence and wisdom gave you a fuller, richer game..

To get the best ending you need to get the blade of the immortal and threaten to kill yourself with it. This forces the transcendent one to merge with you and give you your mortality back.

No, you don't really need any blade It's also possible to threaten to destroy yourself through sheer willpower. But you need really high wisdom and/or intelligence for that.

Well I don't remember it well but you are supposed to have a high intelligence which allows to to beat the game without killing the trancendent one or whatever his name was which results in a cool ending.
MichalN, isn't that what that knife thing is used for, to threaten to kill yourself?

Status : Online | Well, now i really have to play Planescape again. I found out after i played that there were many more dialogue options available with maxed out intelligence and wisdom...as well as something to do with riddles in one of the tombs...but i had no idea a good ending is ONLY available with those stats...i feel like i missed 10% of a game I loved. I just didn't know <sniff> ...i'm so used to role-playing games in which characters need strength, dexterity and constitution in generous amounts.
Just more evidence as to how special this game really is.

I just got Summoner as well, started it but wasn't too impressed with the beginning (I hate when crates and barrels can't be opened...games like Divine Divinity, Morrowind, and Might & Magic VI have spoiled me).
What Planescape and Divinity share are immersive story telling that makes you feel...
Divine Divinity really made me happy. I liked how the quests involved helping people and making a difference in the world.
Planescape Torment made me really ponder life..it's a bit sad at times, kind of like a good movie which tugs on the heartstrings. It's a very meaningful game. My memories of it are actually much like a movie memory...it's the characters and story that stayed with me.
