Wow Patvs, you're out of control!  But I like seeing all the pics of your latest finds.  I don't think I've seen the box for Blue Force before.  And Sega PODS?  What the heck is that?

Yeah I know.. I also never saw that Blue Force box too (including the floppy version of the game). I have Blue Force on CD + manual, which you see more often, but the CD version is never boxed right?

Sega PODS is Sega's version (1995) of MB's SIMON (1978
.

It's basically a memory game with 7 different gamemodes (including a 2 player mode, and 3-6 player mode), where you have to repeat the computer. (and the series have you to repeat gets longer and longer)

The Sega PODS are special though, because you don't have to TOUCH any buttons! It has 3 motion-sensors AND it can detect if you're holding your hand HIGH (+12 inches) of LOW (1-11 inches) above the 3 cones.

I won on Ebay the past two days:

Binatone TV Master (1978
(PONG console) *boxed*

MB's Super Simon (1981) *boxed* (now I only still want the original 1978 Simon.. and Simon-Pocket release)

Quest for Glory IV *boxed* (floppy version) This box is so much prettier than the other release. Though both the floppy version AND the CD version were released in the two types of boxes... Weird..

(this is the other type of box, I already have. You can also find the floppy version of QFG4 in this box on Ebay)

I just answered my own question re which games are in the Zork Legacy Collection by doing a quick web search and found some lovely surprises...

This collection not only has the entire Zork collection up to and including Zork Nemesis (Zork Grand Inquisitor is the only one since, correct?) but in .dat files are the stories for 14 other infocom games!  They simply need a Z-machine interpreter, a free download,  to play.   I'm so pleased!

Pav, now these ARE OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLDDD games.....

Resistance is not futile, we're gonna win this thing, humankind is too good, we're not a bunch of under-achievers! We're gonna stand up, and we're gonna be human beings. We're going to get fired up about the real things, the things that matter! Creativity, and the dynamic human spirit that refuses to submit.

Somewhere (maybe even in my room) is a Pocket Simon.  And a Battleship game like the one pictured above is at my grandma's.  I remember playing with that 10-15 years ago!

I miss my Bubba: 1986 - 2006.

Just got The Longest Journey, Syberia, Deus Ex, and Thief 2 in a lot off of Ebay -- if they're half as good as their reputations say, I'm going to be at this computer for a long time. But for now, I must focus on GK2....must focus on GK2.....

Hmm....tempting, but dangerous too. I could end up with 3,4, or 5 adventures playing at the same time and have a hard time keeping it all straight. Before I know it I'd have Gabriel trying to restore the Balance while Grace sees "No need to go down there" and April strives to live up to her legendary Schattenjaeger heritage. Not good. Still, a peek wouldn't hurt....

Sonny and Steve are named after Jim's sons, the man on the Codename:Iceman box is his youngest son and the girl with the cloak is his daughter.

Yes! I bought from him KQ3 grey box 86 release too!! He's really nice. Oh - KQ2 grey box was released in '85.
I know. I have it!

My recent games:

KQ4 - AGI boxed and everything (Catalog missing)
Mixed Up Mother Goose - '87 (Factory sealed!!!)
PQ1 - Map torn, poker card missing, and the worst - I've found it in my basement after the auction!!!

Oh- I was THAT close to get '82 Time Zone, but someone from Japan took it!!! >

And - I was THAT close to getb - Wizard and the princess, Mission: Asteroid and Ulysses and the Golden Fleece, all in ORIGINAL folder, but I didn't!!!!!!!!

Andro: Good stuff! Deus Ex and Thief 2 are both huge games and both totally brilliant. For my money Thief was probably more enjoyable - I loved every minute of it. Have you played the first one? I have to say it helps a bit, because the story continues on and some characters pop up that prior knowledge of is a bit of a bonus. Having said that I played 2 first, but I would have rather done it the right way round....

I had a stroke of good luck when I was second hand shopping in London a few weeks back - picked up boxed copies of Dracula 2: Last Sanctuary and Kyrandia 3: Malcolm's Revenge for £5 each. I've been after the latter for quite a while, and just seeing it on a bargain shelf made me very happy indeed.
Just finished playing Max Payne, which was also pretty brilliant, it must be said....

Just found Post Mortem at half price $30Aus.   After reading so many differing opinions of it here didn't want to pay the full price (which a few weeks ago was around $89 here on the Gold Coast.   Cheapest I'd seen it here to buy online (in Australia I mean) was $73.95, so thought it worthwhile buying at 30 bucks.
