Well monkeybone you are pretty close except for one thing, I am talking about the Adventure Pc Game.

Status : Online | I've tried to play this game on my machine (Win2000 or XP) and it crashed after few scenes. So I could not give lots of opinion on that. But from the first few screens, it's quite good.

Status : Offline | I remember PC Gamer U.S. gave it a 81%. You know, in those long forgotten days when they still had people who knew how to review adventure games.
I liked how it looked and wanted to buy it a the time, but I couldn't find it at any store (not sure it was released in Europe :-/), so I missed out on it.

Hi just want to tell you that I installed and started to play The Arrival late last night.
Works great with sound and all(that has been an issue running it under Win 98 ) under WIN XP!
No tweaking at all. In fact you should NOT use comp mode 95 or 98, because then you will not be able to se the text in for example "Options"!
At first the game crashed after the intro scenes. Why?
Well it was because after the intro a box showed on the screen and I was not able to read what it said. So I clicked on the button and thats when it crashed.
Now I know what it says "- Insert Disc 2"
After that I have been able to play it with no problems!

Why, to have NO problems running the older games
of course! The Arrival seems to be a weird exception of an older game that doesn't work an older systems but does on the newer ones. And as long as the current games are working fine under win98, why should I upgrade?

Its not that it doesnt work under Win 98, it does!
The only exception is tha you have to close the backround sounds!

Well, reason enough to lower it a bit on my veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyy long must-have list of adventures. And thank god for that, there are already so many games that I still want and so few euros to spend, it's good that one game takes a tumbling down on said list.

I have solved the "eye" control glitch.
So now it works perfectly under Win XP, no problems at all!!
