Search for the Holy Grail
(only got 2 anyway and the other is the original "Complete waste of Time".  Mainly used that one to "Pythonise" my computer, till I got bored with it. Never actually got to the end of it as a game and didn't realise you could actually solve it until Michal mentioned it on one of the threads some time ago.   Love to get hold of Life of Brian but don't think it's available anymore is it?

I've only got "The Meaning of Life" - iI never finished it - it was very buggy and the save function didn't work so every time you quit/it froze you had to start over - my favorite film is "Search for the Holy Grail" - is the game anywhere near as funny? If so, I've got to get my hands on it.

Yes Eva, we thought the game just as funny (my daughter, son and even my husband had a look at it now and again for a laugh).   Follows the film pretty well too, unfortunately I leant my copy to my son a couple of years ago and still haven't got it back - which browns me off no end.   It was the sort of game I just liked to play parts of now and then for fun without necessarily playing through the whole thing.

There are three games to my knowledge - the waste of time, the meaning of life and the holy grail. Not sure there is a Life of Brian game, but I could be wrong.

I've never played the first one, the second one was funny but very tough and not all that satisfying - the holy grail though I thought was brilliance. It's my favourite of their films and it captures the anarchy perfectly....

so many great great moments in the game...

*HUUUUUGE SPOILER* ---------------------------------

I have to put this because I literally fell off my chair when this happened at the beginning of the game...

You go through a nice Gilliam animated sequence very like the section in the film after God announces the quest, and you are presented with an options screen including "Registering" (more important than you think, and obviously funny) and a large clickable Grail icon to start the game. Well, you click it and a message comes up... "Well done! You found the Holy Grail! Thanks for playing!" and it dumps you straight back to the desktop!! I was rolling about. The best opening to a game ever. Hands down. Of course, if you've read this without playing the game you've totally spoiled it for yourself. Never mind.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Well, if you were sensible and didn't read the above having not played the game - all I can say is - it's brilliant, get it.

The Holy Grail game is incredible. You have to see the mini-game called DROP DEAD: it's Tetris... with dead bodies! And the registration screen: omfg. I love Monty Python!
