You just proved my own point. Thanks. If you don't personally see the big deal in calling things exclusive that are not, then I would think you have some ethical problems and should not be involved in journalism.
How pedantic is it possible to get anyway? This would be like Marek bitching about JA+ calling their Jane Jensen interview "THE BEST DAMN JANE JENSEN INTERVIEW EVER". I mean that statement is obviously not true.

Show me a better, more complete interview and I'll grant you that.

Status : Online | Look, what is it with all this Just Adventure vs. Adventure Gamers 'rivalry' anyway? Every time someone mentions AG, or someone from AG posts here, it seems to turn into a blazing row. And it's not just JA forum members who are at fault; I've seen some pretty nasty comments over at the AG forums as well.
This may sound cliched, but the adventure gaming community is small enough as it is and I don't see any point in dividing ourselves up into 'clans'. JA and Adventure Gamers are both great sites, and both committed to adventure games. I really don't understand why a few people at each one seem to be determined to hate the other.
And Wimli, you're absolutely right - this thread was supposed to be about Sam & Max 2, not about the definition of 'exclusive', or who has the better Jane Jensen interview, or anything else.

That can be true Ksandra. All I noticed in this thread was carryon carrying on. One person. Maybe there are some folks on any forum who just have a grudge for some unknown reason, or feel the need to defend their loyalty to one site, or just want to stir up dust. Many people here are members of several adventure sites and most of us can post harmoniously.
Back on topic. The rest of us are just excited to hear the good news: [size=32]POINT AND CLICK IS ALIVE AND WELL This is such news from Lucas Arts! Thanks again Ksandra for bringing us the news from whatever site it may be on.
We eagerly await more news about Sam and Max!
Still adventuring after all these years!
Patiently awaiting The Last Crown: Haunting of Hallowed Isle, and Bracken Tor...
... and Asylum if it's not tooooo scary...

Btw, this posting is exclusive to JA Forum even though I am going to complain at some other forums also.

Finally someone who understands. Childish behaviour.

: Unethical journalism, you, Sir, are overreacting. Considering your point of view both AG and JA should be guilty for that. JA claims to be the most visited adventure site on the net, that should say enough.
It's great that you love JA so much, and it's okay that you like it better than AG, but please stop the slander.

Er, I wasn't going to step into the middle of this, but could you kindly inform what adventure sites have more visitors than JA? And I'm talking proof, not speculation - I don't make claims unless I have proof and for the month of April we had a quarter of a million unique visitors and over 11 million hits. And I'm not even including stats like page views and total visitors. And our stats are not falsely inflated by being associated with another group of sites.
We are also, as far as I am aware, the highest rated adventure site on Alexa, a tracking system that rates sites according to their popularity. We are currently ranked at 20,917. Now some people will tell you that they don't think Alexa is trustworthy, but appearantly some people are also so jealous that they have begun to post negative remarks about JA on Alexa and then these same people then go to AG and post postive remarks. No I don't know who these people are, but I have contacted Alexa about it to see if these people are using real or duplicated email addresses. If you like I can post some of the postings from Alexa so you can see for yourself how juvenile people can be. Or you can look for yourself by going here http://info.alexa.com/data/details?p=TBChrome_T_t_40_L1&amzn_id=alexa65-tb-20&url=http://www.justadventure.com/articles/E32003/jenseninterview/JaneJensenE3.shtm and reading the 'reviews' at the bottom of the page.
Of course, I could be wrong about our popularity as "most visited" as I probably don't know every adventure site in the world, but I'm not wrong about our stats or Alexa standing.

I like both sites too (even before Stooge forced me too ). I really can't stand this slandering. And I don't know what happened in the past between the sites, but the recent slanderings have all NOT come from the site's operators. So it's clear that the they get along just fine, so why can't the members of these sites just get along too?
And while I understand why you reacted Randy, is it really that important which one is the most visited site?
Luckily most people over here and over at AG get along just fine, constantly posting links to each other's subjects in the fora so that everyone keeps informed about the latest news about our favourite upcoming games. In fact, it's through AG that I got to know this site. And since then I have visited them both regularly.
So please, for one last time: let this ridiculous conflict end!!! :-* Peace people . Wimli, over and out.
