Yeah, this is a very stimulating experience... and I hope you're at least half serious, because I suspect women will forever remain the greatest unsolved riddle for me :

And here's an easy lil' one for ya...

'Tween marble walls, white as milk,
Lined with a skin as soft as silk,
Within a fountain, crystal clear,
A golden apple doth appear.
No doors or locks has this stronghold,
Yet thieves break in, and steal the gold.

...and one a bit more difficult:

We are airy little creatures,
All of different voice and features;
One of us in glass is set,
One of us you'll find in jet,
T'other you may see in tin,
And the fourth a box within.
If the fifth you should pursue,
It can never fly from you.

I forgot my sig.

I was half-serious and without sarcasm, (can that be? ???) The 'quality of solving tough riddles' should be on every woman's wish list

Ah, that's what I was doing wrong -- trying to form a word from letters taken from each word, neglecting the "in" part. Vowels -- of course! A-E-I-O-U!

I don't know, it sounds a little unlikely

And every man's as well

My patterns amaze young and old
I'm hard to see when I'm cold
Across the ether comes my wake
and when I sleep no sound I make
Along the years of my tale
I've lost my ears and grown a tail

Men like us when we hum
Women like us when we're pretty
We prefer open spaces
But most of us live in the city
As with our short history
Our average life is but a blink
Usually we're female
Only once a week do we drink

What begins with T,
ends with T,
and has T in it?

What object has keys that open no locks,
space but no room,
and you can enter but not go in?

The first might be a comet or meteor. The third is a teapot. The last one is a keyboard.

A child's toy, A man's machine
I'm only worthwhile when perfect
When used a toy, I can break if shot
As a machine, I can break if hot
Here's another need for me:
Use two for increased dexterity
My shape is ubiquitous, as the wheel
but three dimensions do I feel

Leaders of men sit upon me
I am most used by the commoner
( as long as I'm not sitting )
but the leaders always get me back
Some collect me, others trade me
But I'm content to sit in a safe place
for that's where I tend to grow.

My one eye sees sights,
images, light, remembered
only when I blink

I am a protector, sitting on a bridge.
One person sees right through me,
While others wonder what I hide

Big as a biscuit, deep as a cup,
Even a river can't fill it up.

BTW, you got any riddles, Malia??

A friend of mine told me this one a few weeks ago, and I just loved it (I'd say it has a medium difficulty):
"Something very extraordinary happened on the 6th of May, 1978 at 12:34 a.m.
What was it?"

Now, riddlers of the world, sing with me:
"I've been working on my neurons,
All the livelong day.
I've been working on my neurons,
Just to make my dendrites play"

It means that the date and time (if one types it US style) reads 12:34 5/6/78, in other words 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8. Here in New Zealand the 6th of May doesn't work, because we, when writing the date, put the day first, then month and  year.

Some people are like a slinky. They might not be good for anything, but its fun to watch them tumble down stairs. &&

I'm back! I bet you've missed me...

I build up castles.
I tear down mountains.
I make some men blind,
I help others to see.
What am I?

Ripped from my mother's womb,
Beaten and burned,
I become a blood-thirsty slayer
What am I?

Five hundred begins it, five hundred ends it,
Five in the middle is seen;
First of all figures, the first of all letters,
Take up their stations between.
Join all together, and then you will bring
Before you the name of an eminent king.
