Michal - I'm in need of a consolatory beer, let's get legless. Or Legolas depending on your fantastical leanings.

No, but maybe a Guinness Now you are definately on my wavelength! Two pints of the black stuff it is. Ever crossed the pond and tried the genuine article in Dublin? I didn't believe the hype till I tried it myself. As they say - pure genius.

Ever crossed the pond and tried the genuine article in Dublin? I didn't believe the hype till I tried it myself. As they say - pure genius. Crossed the pond... well, now I consider myself to be on the 'other side' I've been to England, but not Ireland.
Reminds me of a little story... when I was in England, we stopped at Stonehenge on the way back. I was intercepted by an elderly lady who was conducting some sort of opinion poll. One of the questions was "are you from overseas" which threw me off balance. Being from continental Europe myself, I had never considered Britain to be really "overseas". But for you guys "from overseas" and "furriners" are really synonyms I gather. The wonders of cultural differences
I forgot my sig.

England is a great country - I've been all over it with work, but Ireland really is special - well worth the visit. And closer to the States too!

Well if you think about it, because the UK is an island everything is "overseas". I know what you're saying though. I don't like the word "foreigner" always sounds derogatory.
Unless of course you're talking about 80s power rock bands!

Well if you think about it, because the UK is an island everything is "overseas". Technically yes, but it's difficult to imagine the Channel that you can see practically across on a clear day as a "sea"
I don't like the word "foreigner" always sounds derogatory. Everyone is a foreigner in most places in the world... so what

Btw Monkeybone, thanks for the vote of confidence. But to tell you the truth I don't know if it would work out between me and Jessica. I mean she's hot allright, and she seems smart and down to earth, but.... she smokes, and I have a problem with smoke (allergic)...so unless she would be willing to swap her habit for another one ( obsessive gellato consuming maybe? ) I don't think it would work out, and maybe we should take me out of the competition.
