I have performed a full install for this game successfully, but when I launch the game I get a Software Protection Error and a message telling me to 'insert the original disk in drive'.  As I have the original disks, I cannot understand why this message is appearing.

Is there a cure for this problem, or is it a case of returning the game for exchange?

I got the same error message, and hopefully you already found the solution yourself, which in fact is very simple. The game only starts from CD2, not CD1. I wonder why Microids didn't make a note about it somewhere in the booklet. (If it's there somewhere, sorry Microids!
)

Microids assume you insert CD2 when you want to play the game. The game will only run if the CD2 is in the drive, even if you made a full install. This is due to the copy protection, but why did they put it on CD2 rather than CD1? Strange... Probably a mistake!

Nice game though!

Hi, I have just purchased Post Mortem also. I did however figure out the cd problem(2cd to run the game).

My problem is, I cannot get any sort of menu to save, quit or do any other function while in the game. I have tried all the keys, nothing happens, needless to say that after playing for a couple of hours I had to then boot it out to shut down my pc, I was very annoyed!!
Any help would be most appriciated. ???
