Status : Online | Unless they package in an expanstion pack or something, GOTY editions usually just piss me off. Usually they're just crappy excuses to repackage an older game and jack the price up 10 bucks. I wanna get Civ 3 but the stores only carry the GOTY edition now and I'm not paying $40 for a game over a year and a half old.

Is $29.99 a reasonable price for just a bonus CD (I have absolutely no clue as to reasonable prices for computer games, since I usually buy games not long after they are released and thus pay the full price.)

Status : Online | Special game editions would be great as long as they added some stuff that would make it worth it. For example I could imagine the special edition for Syberia to have:
- A Syberia T-shirt
- DVD edition
- Automaton dolls or something that could be used as decoration in the house
- Deleted or added on top scenes/gameplay/dialogues in the actual game
- Video Interviews with the developers / actors
- Poster
- A Syberia comic book (drawn by Benoit Sokal especially)
- Soundtrack on seperate audio CD
- Walkthrough
- Demo of Syberia 2
- Trailers
In such a case I would probably buy the game a second time and give away to a friend my first copy. I maybe would be willing even to pay more money than I payed the first time for so many goodies.
As it is now I do not think I would re-buy Syberia, but if I didn't already own it and hadn't thought about buying it before, maybe I would be more tempted to buy it now.

Status : Online | I think the GOTY edition is for people who don't own the original game. This will be another reason for them to buy it. I don't think Microïds thinks, you will buy a second copy.
