Playing adventure games in phases: 1989-1990, 1995-now and hopefully for a long time to come

First adventure game: King's Quest IV

My older brother bought his first computer in 1989 together with a bunch of games (among which was King's Quest IV). Since he found KQ IV 'boring' ("Where's the action, the killing?" :
), he gave it to me and I'm still grateful that he did! Afterwards it took me a few years to be able to buy games myself, but once I did, I was hooked again! But I'll never forget that KQ IV was the one that started it all!

Started the adventure genre on C64 with Hitchhikers Guide.  I wasn't really smart.  I got a PC in '93.  I got into Sam & Max, Gabrial Knight, Beneath A Steel Sky, etc.
